Both are from Queens and have a similar sort of speaking style and charisma. The makers of All in the Family, and Carroll O'Connor himself, were critics of Archie Bunker's worldview, but they ended up making him into a beloved character and voice of the common man.

The character of Archie Bunker was intended to be viewed by the audience as a complete jackass. I think it was hoped that those who shared the values and attitudes he expressed, would recognize themselves in him and change for the better. It was an attempt at social-engineering, but with a beneficial goal in mind. I didn't know anyone at the time, who agreed with his character, but many people were amused by him and some probably recalled old relatives from a bygone era, as resembling him.
The old goat who married an aunt was just like him, always spouting racist, bigoted nastiness and he was a career grade-school principal! Here's something funny: The name of the school he headed for decades, was called, "The Failing School".l
The liberals love to say Trump reminds them of Hitler. The problem is: Germany does not think Trump is anything like Hitler. This was a leftist fabrication.

Nah, they would never put Trump and Hitler in the same boat ... er .. float.

No it is not. There are so many similarities between Trump's being elected and Hitler's rise to power that it is very obvious to anyone. Hitler and Trump both were opportunists, they saw a segment of their people who were dissatisfied with the current situation and who were ripe for the picking.
Both of them put fear into the hearts of the people, like fear that an outside group of people were taking away the nationality of their countries. Trump used the Muslims, Hitler used the Jews, and anyone who wasn't "pure". Both men also promised jobs and a better life for the people, and they were both totally different than all of the other leaders who were currently in power. Both also have (had) illusions of grandeur.
Even the manner in which both men spoke from the podium is strikingly similar. Watch videos of Hitler and then Trump, and turn off the sound. Trump is almost a clone of Hitler in his mannerisms and gestures. Finally, both men share the same character and mental flaws, not being able to handle criticism, and both exhibit the same deep emotional issues.
Nope, this is no Leftist fabrication, it is an eerie fact that any reasonable person could easily spot.
