Just as no one elected Ivanka Trump and her husband, but Trump supporters have no problem with that.
From what I have seen, Ivanka hasn't devised a massive health care scheme which she tried to sell to congress. The most I have seen her do is push for equal payment for women and tax credits for child care. But you are right, she is fair game for criticism about that. Have at it.
...That means MO could cure cancer and she'd still be a useless pig in my world.

I didn't even realize this, but what an excellent point. The flippancy is astounding.
Here we have a "white" woman, not born in the United States, that is revered, beloved, admired and even idolized as a First Lady by them, yet we had a former First Lady who was a graceful, classy and elegant American-born first lady. I only emphasize that because there seems to be such an emphasis on immigration lately from the right.
Yet, Michelle, because she's black, had some of the most disgusting, bigoted, hateful things said about her and told her accomplishments as an Ivy-league educated woman were a farce and had nothing to do with her hard work and dedication, but only her skin color.
From what I've seen, there's no reason to hate either Melania or Michelle. Now the people who had no problem calling Michelle "Mooch" are now demanding respect for the current First Lady.

She's a legal immigrant and trophy wife to Donald Trump, elegant and beautiful to be sure, but definitely not as accomplished. As for all the supposedly unflattering pictures of Mrs. Obama, that's a joke too. Mrs. Obama is a real human being who likes to dance and have fun, not a plastic Barbie doll whose only purpose is to be arm candy for her husband. But of course, women still suffer the old double standard of always being judged by how they look and nothing else, which does them a grave disservice. Education, job experience, and brains matter.

^^^ Why?
Since the press was there, why were they escorted out when she started her speech?
What were "they" afraid of?
Again, the cognitive dissonance is strong with this post.
Are you honestly trying to say that cons didn't judge Michelle Obama by her choice of husband?
This is so funny, I forgot to laugh.
Ha right. I mean you can judge Michelle if you want but Melania is more worthy of judgement so if they can judge Michelle then we can judge Melania. Not that I'm saying I hate on Melania because I don't but I do wonder what she would actually see in Donald.

The ease with which they switch between being pro and con based on whomever they are talking about boggles the mind.
Yup. You get money= you're suddenly a great person. Of course they will never admit that instead if anything they will shift it to you and say "oh yeah liberal? Don't you like celebrities?"

You make a statement:

I stated that I doubt Mrs. Obama would be with Mr. Obama if he was just an uneducated cashier. You hold Mrs. Trump to a standard, but not Mrs. Obama to the same standard, in that neither one of them would have anything to do with some regular Joe working at a mediocre job for relatively low wage.
No it's not the same thing at all. Mr. Trump is a billionaire who just decided to become president. Obama earned his spot and came from a poor background. Also he doesn't have millions of businesses in his name. He is poor compared to Trump. It would be like comparing Britney Spears to an actress only on Disney Channel.

Both think President Trump is against women, yet it was women who stepped up and voted for him. Got to love it when the progressives think they know what ALL women think.
Well if some women voted for him, that's on them. I never liked him. In fact as I said before even when I didn't know who he was I didn't care for him. I just found him easy to ignore when he was just a citizen. It's probably the same with other people. I can't stand Chris Brown and I only occasionally talk about him as well. If I'm not going to talk about an unapologetic woman beater much than I'm not going to talk about a pervert narcissist either until they go on to a position that actually would affect me. Trump was also easier to ignore for me because he's not a musician so until I watched an episode of the Apprentice and kept that insufferable Giraldo Rivera on I never thought about how much I didn't like him.

Personally I think Mrs. Obama is prettier because she's the girl next door. I don't get the obsession with models in general.
Smart and educated. I believe she can speak 5 or 6 languages.
Outside the USA, being a polyglot (here 6+) is common in many countries. And given the opportunity to leave communism, is precious, to us such immigrants for we can now live...
as we could not before.
THANK you Melania for your admired, beloved, exemplary & soft-spoken way. God Bless...
That might be true I don't see any reason to take that out on Melania though. She did not come from a well off family or a wealthy country.
The Republicans showed absolutely no mercy to Harvard Law School graduate First Lady Michelle Obama because she has the audacity to be a beautiful and confident black American woman yet you want us to show mercy to an (illegal) immigrant Slovenian woman of ill repute because she is white. Sorry but no. I will speak on her lesbian pornographic "modeling" and "entertaining" wealthy men in NY on a student visa every chance I get.
Liberal women tend to judge women by who they marry, they have pre-judged Melania because they don't like her marriage partner.
Don't you judge people by the choices they make. What else would you judge them on....their looks?
