It just seems a whole lotta energy is being spent by different groups bickering over whether climate change exists, which takes the spotlight away from other more concrete and immediate issues.

Why not set that aside and focus on keeping air and water safe from excessive pollution?

For those who are skeptical of climate change, would you be on board with having a much narrower - albeit still nationwide - set of regulations that exist only to minimize pollution/contamination levels in the air and water supply?

There you go.

Honesty is always the best policy. EVERYONE wants clean air and water, yet NO ONE enjoys being played by the con of "global warming".

You may ignore climate change but climate change will not be forgetting you.
Coming soon to a neighborhood near you - total crop failure, $30 chickens, beef at $75/lb, etc. Fish, what's a fish?
Clean water, will be hard to find, and very expensive.
We may already be beyond the point of no return.

We've been "beyond the point of no return", for 15 some odd years now and still theres no sign of change. It was supposed to be water world by now.

Why don't you save your end-of-the-world fear mongering and go live in a bunker somewhere eating canned food, you global warming nut-job.

Go save yourself, and let the rest of us perish.

False....The climate tipping point is not certain, but we are definitely approaching it....

False....Predicted sea level rise by the year 2100 is between 1.7 and 3.22 feet.

Do you always get this nasty when you lie?

That would suit me.

Those are the NEW predictions! They say something different every 10 years.

No global warming predictions have ever materialized. They're so certain that they know what they're talking about, but it never happens, and too stubborn to admit the error in their ridiculous logic.

Great. But that also means that you have to leave everybody else alone while you're saving yourself. That is to say, you can't tell anyone how they can live or impose carbon taxes on entire nations.

Environmentalist are free to be bat**** crazy, but they have to stay out of everyone one elses business.

You know what? Find another hobby. We are NOT going to roll back the industrial revolution. We are NOT going to get rid of our private vehicles. We are NOT going to move into apartment blocks. We are NOT going to live in the dark. We are NOT going to give up products made of plastic. We are NOT going to live in food cooperatives and trade spinach leaves for homemade jewelry made out of sustainably manufactured wood beads. We are NOT giving up the use of fossil fuels and exiling ourselves to a self-imposed Dark Age.

NONE OF THAT is ever going to happen, no matter what happens with the climate. So even if it is changing due to man, then it is up to us to figure out new solutions and DEAL WITH IT. Our freedom and liberty are more important than the climate. If water levels are going up? Too bad, move cities inland. They need rebuilding anyway. Climate getting warmer? New areas will become arable farther North. I saw one guy who was able to grow stuff in permafrost. It can be done.

New methods of productive agriculture in hotter climates will need to be developed and perfected. All of this can happen quite nicely. We are smart enough to figure it all out.

But what is NOT going to happen is elimination of progress and elimination of fossil fuels. That will only happen WHEN THEY RUN OUT. After which economic necessity will move us to solar and wind and other inefficient methodologies that will become efficient when fossil fuels are completely extracted from the planet. Which is going to happen anyway in about 100 years, so the problem will self-solve.

Meanwhile, let's dig and frack and drill and keep living well and stay free. The envirofascist alternative is never happening, so the whole climate change nonsense is quite academic.

Tell me, how do you keep the sand out of your mouth, nose and eyes when you bury your head to ignore the obvious?

Outstandingly well said.

The two greatest threats today to our future freedom are 1) Eco-fascism and 2) Islamic fanaticism. The main focus of the government should be to control and counter both.

I owe you another rep.

What can be done to stop Eco-fascism?

As innocent and well-meaning as this cartoon seemed back then, it indoctrinated a whole generation, creating real life ecotroopers that have lost their mind, and actually believe they are saving the world.

They have turned to fascism and are practically foaming at the mouth and incapable of rational thought. They will stop at nothing to save "mother earth".

What can be done to curb their insanity?
