Yes...I keep hearing about Rosie O'Donnell playing him on SNL but he rarely speaks on the record so hard to find material.

The Point is Tillerson does not have to extort money like HRC Or run a Cartel Style State Department.

As Trump as President it gives Tillerson the resources he needs to deal with the world. We are tire of Obama stating the Red Line Position which made Kerry look like a fool!

You don't have to worry about Tillerson stating anything, it appears there is a gag order. He did speak to his employees at the state department so I know he can speak but evidently Trump has placed him in a protective bubble.

As things may turn out, all of the Cabinet, except perhaps Gen. Mattis, may be ineffective at doing much of anything at all. Partly because of their lack of qualifications and experience and also due to the active repression put on them by the White House. It seems that unlike our earlier suspicions about them being selected as a wrecking-crew, they may actually be only stooges, propped in place as space-holders. Because of the real skullduggery being conducted in the inner sanctum, they may not want any interference from an active cabinet.

He knows enough to run one of the biggest companies in the World with a workforce (foreign & domestic) of around 80,000 - He has been the CEO for 10 years. He rose through the ranks at Exxon, he didn't parachute in - Tillerson is an Engineer, a problem solver. He has a fairly low (as do most Engineers) BS Quotient.

1. CEO of a $370 billion global company with operations in approximately 50 countries. The US State Department has a Budget of $65.9 Billion -

2. He is an experienced Negotiator - Tillerson has experience running negotiations for everything from land-use rights to labor issues to transportation deals. Under his leadership, Exxon has negotiated with foreign and U.S. governments and major international conglomerates. He has a working relationship with Leaders all over the World.

3. World Leadership: Tillerson has diplomatic experience – representing Exxon instead of the United States . He knows world leaders and understands their motivations. Tillerson has had to address the concerns of foreign leaders, incentivize them to work with him. This mirrors U.S. needs: a top diplomat who realistically addresses the motivations of foreign leaders and convinces them to work with—not against—the U.S.

Right now, the press is in Hysterical Meltdown mode over Rex Tillerson because he isn't providing them with the Transportation and Perks that Clinton & Kerry did. They will just have to get over it.

The Bureaucracy at the State Department is in Hysterical Meltdown mode because Rex Tillerson is cutting FAT - cutting entire Departments that Clinton & Kerry installed. The US State Department is a MESS, a MESS that has been run by a small group of Careerists led by Patrick Kennedy for decades. They don't follow protocols/laws and have gotten away with that for decades. That is changing and they will just have to get over it.

Hillary Clinton and John Kerry were both about Receptions, Photo-Ops, Politics, Grandstanding.
Secretary Tillerson will be about results, Law and work. It's easy to see why they are in Panic Mode.

They are correct about that - turns out that Secretary Tillerson thinks the US State Department should not be devoted to Social Justice issues and should spend their time/resources on the Business of the US State Department.

No, he's probably ensconced in the Lincoln Bedroom, or perhaps the Queen's Bedroom. No cot in a backroom for Emperor Bannon.

What some here apparently fail to realize that weakening the State Department by keeping Tillerson out of the information loop, getting rid of non-partisan career diplomats and others with decades of experience and contacts with their peers in other countries, putting people with little experience and few foreign contacts into the State Department, and by generally downgrading both morale and power, this administration is also weakening our national security significantly and dangerously. This has little to do with being conservative or liberal - but much to do with patriotism, democracy, and freedom. It transcends traditional American politics, and should be of great concern to both parties.

Do you not realize that the dictators and demogogues of the world are watching closely, and with most of those with experience and knowledge gone from the State Department, we are extremely vulnerable at present? Our traditional allies are voicing their concerns behind the scenes, have no doubt of that, but are not being heard. The security of our country and the free world are being imperiled more and more as long as this practice - can't really call it "policy" - persists.

And if disaster does result - think 9/11, or perhaps something more subtle, or attacks on the grid or our infrastructure - that may just give Trump and his cronies and puppeteers more grist for their totalitarian mill of a government, with additional incursions on our Constitutionally guaranteed rights and liberties rapidly put into place in the name of national security.

These changes at the State Department may be deliberate, with just this sort of an outcome in mind. I am sure Putin would be very happy to see this occur, and the North Koreans and Chinese won't be shedding any tears, either.

I doubt if Trump has the brains or the attention span to think through this thoroughly - but Bannon has plenty of both, enough for two, in fact. And this is just the sort of scenario that he would fully relish.

I would think that anyone would have to consider someone that was elected to be President twice would have to be considered successful.

What were your views on Obama?
