George Shultz, Dean Acheson, Henry Kissinger, John Foster Dulles, and James Baker are considered extremely powerful Secretaries of State. Hillary was considered to be fairly strong but not as strong as the Secretaries that are mentioned above.

More "Nancy" stuff.

OK. List the "State Department's long time diplomats who served under both Republican and Democrats" who have been fired.

"Nancy stuff?" That's rude. There were several top state officials fired. Why should I list them when it's been all over the news? However, since you apparently live in a bubble in Trumpworld, I can think of a few people who were asked to resign as soon as Rex Tillerson was confirmed.

Daniel Fried, for example, served 6 presidents and was a top diplomat until a few weeks ago. Gentry Smith joined the State Dept in 1987. Michele Bond joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 1977. Joyce Ann Barr joined the State Dept in 1979. Tom Countryman joined the State Dept in 1982. IIRC he was on his way to a conference and was told he was fired at the airport.

I can list more, but I'm sure you'll just find something else to laugh about. Don't bang your head too hard.

and Hillary Clinton was????? being First Lady for 8 years made her qualified to be Secretary of State? ......how about John Kerry? what are his accomplishments other than being for the Iraq invasion before he was against it or whatever flip flop is on his brain.

Rex Tillerson is fine.....he has dealt with many countries and leaders in the government and private sector and he understands what are their needs and how they think.....that's what you need in a Secretary of State......not a big name politician with an ego with political aspirations to be President like Hillary Clinton.

No, nobody is asking for miracles. I think most people just expect him to answer a few basic questions. I watched as Andrea Mitchell, a well respected, seasoned journalist attempted to ask a question during a photo op with Tillerson and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister and she was asked to leave and then escorted out of the room. Secretary Tillerson just stood there and smiled.

Andrea Mitchell, a well respected, seasoned journalist????? Bhaaaaaaaa!!!! she is a liberal hack that works on MSNBC.

if we judge our Secretary of State because he/she avoided 1 reporter then Hillary Clinton was the worst! She dogged questions all the time but I didn't hear you complain.

I judge a Secretary of State on how well he understands other leaders and their needs to find a common ground and to stop this cycle of globalism of endless wars and endless occupations not on the merits that Andrea Mitchell from MSNBC was ignored.....I could care less about her and her network.
