Jealous? What economic policy did Trump implement? None, that's right.

Presidents shouldn't take credit for overarching things like this.

I think it's a blend of policies for the first 3 or 4 months. Assign the 6 month numbers to the current WH. Though, I expect them to be equally good.

Obama left tRump with an excellent economy. Bush 43 left Obama with the dregs.

This guy is the sole reason I dropped NYT. He even misquoted the French guy who wrote about income inequality for political reason. What an idiot. I agree.

Consumer confidence. I hope we hit 3% GDP growth in 2018 so that Paul Krugman can finally be verified as a political hack (He says even if he was dictator we couldn't hit 2.5%).

You were saying?

Adviser admits Trump had nothing to do with strong jobs report

According to Gary Cohn, the head of Trump's National Economic Council, there's no reason to give credit to Trump for the strong report.

During an interview with CNBC, Cohn did say the report was "right exactly where we needed it to be," but also noted that Trump's team wasn't the reason for the beat.

For one thing, Cohn noted, the jobs that have been promised by CEOs meeting with Trump haven't happened yet.

"Look, there's clearly a good February as part of the number," said Cohn. "I'm not going to deny that, but on the other hand when you look at what we've been doing here are the White House and all of the CEOs we've brought in -- whether it be Sprint or Intel -- they have promised enormous amounts of jobs and job creation in the United States. Those hirings have not been done yet. Those are future hirings."

Thus, the beat in the February report according to Cohn is on the back of the recovery from the past 8 years under President Barack Obama.

Take a look at the charts: https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0..._view=net_1mth

There is nothing special to see here at all. Employment is a lagging indicator. Anyone with a minimum of economic insight knows this. Trump taking credit for this is absurd.

My kid's business just had a boom since Trump was elected. She hired two persons. Of all the field, I would least expected from her field. Last year, it was dead for 3 months, dec, Jan, feb. This year is the opposite. The work all turned on after Trump was elected.
