While it took the Obama Administration several months. Until May of 2009 in fact.

Sessions has not lied!

Remember when hillary was thought to have lied during a hearing?

All the media and pols from both sides let it go because the rule is any plausible interpretation of the question is accdeptable and provides a get out of jail free card.

Rule is when you are questioned by the fed regulatory agencies, you answer that question only.... with no qualification or explanations or aditional information.

It is astounding the dems are all over sessions for his answer from both a legal and ethical position.

You want to hear lies, lies spoken as a pattern? Look toward obama and hillary's lies.
No problem with those chronic liars spewing falsehoods about critical information.

what the dems and media are doing to sessions is criminal.

Apparently Hannity said on Fox Thursday night that trump should do this. Not sure if that's where trump got the idea or if Hannity already knew this was going to be happening yesterday.

Yes presidents do this but a lot of these attorneys were in the middle of cases and told to be out last night. No replacements or even nominees from everything I've heard. With clinton the lawyers were able to finish cases or stay on until replacements were brought on. Some of these attorneys learned via the media they were out. As I said before bad form. No class.

I hear Bharara has not tendered his resignation yet. He apparently talked to Sessions earlier in the week and was told he'd be staying on. He's in the middle of several high-profile cases.

They have to finish the cases. Once you're on record the judge gets to decide when or if you get to withdraw.

Oh. Wait... no, in order to understand that, you would have to have at least a basic knowledge of American history, but you're Republicans.

So, yeah... you wouldn't have any way of knowing.
Ah did you bother to read the posts by your fellow anti-Trumper? He can't do that - Obama never did that ect....

I think before you speak - you should see that your also offending your own people who must not have a basic knowledge of American History - it's not just Republicans.

One of the reporters asked Sessions spokesman whether Bharara was being fired because of Trumps statement and he referred them back to the White House. He has done a tremendous job convicting politicians and Wall St, I know it's a prime position but it would be a loss if he were let go.

But this is done every change in top sheriff's. Most leave on their own, because they are butt hurt. Obama got rid of only a few of Bush's holdouts.
Bush cleaned house with Clinton's appointments
"Bush cleaned house with Clinton's appointments"

Get your facts straight.

"On December 7, 2006, the George W. Bush administration's Department of Justice (ordered the unprecedented)[1] midterm dismissal of seven United States Attorneys."

Explain how these attorneys were still around in DECEMBER if W Bush "cleaned house"

The attorneys serve for four-year-terms. When a new president takes office he typically replaces most of the attorneys with his own appointees.

WHITE HOUSE AND JUSTICE DEPARTMENT
BEGIN U.S. ATTORNEY TRANSITION
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Continuing the practice of new administrations, President Bush and the Department of Justice have begun the transition process for most of the 93 United States Attorneys.
Attorney General ******** said, "We are committed to making this an orderly transition to ensure effective, professional law enforcement that reflects the President 's priorities."
In January of this year, nearly all presidential appointees from the previous administration offered their resignations. Two Justice Department exceptions were the United States Attorneys and United States Marshals.
Prior to the beginning of this transition process, nearly one-third of the United States Attorneys had already submitted their resignations. The White House and the Department of Justice have begun to schedule transition dates for most of the remaining United States Attorneys to occur prior to June of this year. President Bush will make announcements regarding his nominations to the Senate of new United States Attorneys as that information becomes available. Pending confirmation of the President's nominees, the Attorney General will make appointments of Interim United States Attorneys for a period of 120 days (28USC546). Upon the expiration of that appointment, the authority rests with the United States District Court (28USC546(d)).

It WAS CLINTON who "cleaned house" immediately.

The US Attorney is rarely the one who personally prosecutes cases, that's usually done by the career staff.

Bone up on your history, this is not all that uncommon.
