What difference does that make? The question was why do you want more third world immigrants TODAY. You know, the 21st century. Do you really think there is ANY comparison to a immigrant from Norway in the 1800's and a Somali refugee today? Of course, you think they're identical.

This place is already overcrowded as it is. I agree we should stop importing third worlders who just want our welfare benefits. Trump mentioned a merit-based immigration system in his speech. I'd be okay with that, but it has to be a very small number that get to come here to my country.

Let me guess, none of you looked up our population growth rate without immigrants?

http://www.newgeography.com/content/...ration-2015-50

Probably not. It is near 0. Just a heads up, economic growth in a primarily service based economy is heavily dependent on population growth and wage growth. Haven't had wage growth in 30 years now you idiots are going to cut immigration simply because you're afraid the nation won't be white enough.

What?

Boomers are less than 25 percent of the US pop and, are dropping off each day.

If you look at statistics, the immigrants, not refugees or illegals necessarily, are more educated and college grads. but my question was because they should have asked your question 4 generations back, then wouldn't have the problem. Right?

How does increasing the supply of labor help with wages? You sure failed economics.

We need less people, a BIG wall, and strong military. Let's be a rich country, not a crowded one.

Hmm, maybe this is the 2nd dumbest post you have on this thread.

You think America's population isn't going to grow because some people are on birth control? Get real.

Why do you want the population to increase so badly? Is that way democrats are willing to take in Muslims? Because they spawn like rabbits?

The globalists have filled the lemmings heads with this idea you need to import younger workers since our population is aging.

First off we aren't crowded.

Second, we are under no threat what so ever so an overly powerful military has been the dumbest thing we've been investing in for decades now. In fact we spend more than the next 7 highest spending countries combined. So try and not over compensate with the BIG wall and STRONG military, you aren't impressing anyone.

We need more consumers, wages have been stagnant and will remain so regardless of the population for numerous other reasons. Least of which is greater competition from abroad, automation, increasing productivity, low inflation (primarily because of our status as reserve currency and exploitation of the developing world) and diminished union representation.

No growth in population (more consumers) will lead to anemic economic growth. As we are currently seeing and will continue to see. Especially as the baby boomers start to die off and generations that are less well off replace them. Don't forget, most of the people behind you aren't sitting on defined benefit plans and retiring in their early 60's. Those things don't exist for younger folk and in fact their only defined benefit plan, social security is likely to see a 25% hair cut because the current idiots in power refuse to take the small steps necessary to solidify it.

Mostly because of the mentality, "**** everyone else I'm getting mine, we'll deal with it later".
