the Democratic House and Senate candidate ran on Obama's policies and lost.

Obama was the only one that was able to sell them

What Obama is doing right now is showing why we should never elect a younger President again. His actions are too much like ex spouses that we have to call the cops on to get restraining orders, to keep them at bay so they can't beat us up again. Just go away .. get over it .. your time is over.

Younger presidents have way too much time and energy left after their terms are done. Older presidents generally are smart enough to just retire to the countryside for the most part and stay out of the fray, showing up only occasionally for reunions and photo ops. I think right now, seeing what is going on with Obama, that is the best thing an ex-President can do for his/her country.

Presidents always get a likability bump after they leave office. I remember a couple years into the Obama presidency, Bush had better favorability ratings than Obama. And my Facebook feed was inundated with pics of Bush with the text "Miss me yet?", or "Miss having a president who loves America?"

If Obama wants to be liked, he should honestly do like George Bush, and keep his mouth shut, and start some charity like Bill Clinton did for the first few years after leaving the presidency.

Bill and Hillary would have been better off if they had just left politics entirely, and stuck with the Clinton foundation. Maybe make some appearances here and there, giving commencement speeches, or for the opening of some library.

Obama seems to want to become some sort of political-activist. And it will backfire.

LOL, yep, Democrats lost over 1000 seats during Obama's presidency and now they lost the white house. And there are people like OP who still don't get how unpopular Obama was? Wow! And this! is a result of government run schools, just pump out kids so they can't think on their own.

Time will tell...
No matter what Obama does with rest of his life, no matter what economist or pundits surmise he did to the economy, war. or society, he will be the president who ended a long and shameful nightmare of Americans dying of illness because they can't afford insurance while insurance companies piled up money in Swiss bank accounts. In the future all the ripples will be ironed out, all the differing factions and sides will be in agreement and people will say it was Barack Obama who got us to the this place by taking the first step.

He was right, he isn't going anywhere !
Well, if the Today shows says it, it must be true! So the left invites the ex-President to arrive and we the Today show will make it look like a comeback. Psst.........your President hasn't even allowed his sit to get cold. He is the first President to have a bigger ego than President Trump.

Not true, for many like me he'll be viewed as the president that used the government to rob our families to subsidize you. Of course your being a "caring" liberal you're willing to overlook the robbery because it benefits you.

I second this opinion.

if Obama is supposedly so popular then why during Obama's eight years in office did the Democrats lose more House, Senate, state legislative and governors seats than under any other president?

He left the Democrat party in ruins, yet he is popular. Among whom? Republicans?
