I won't hold my breath for your response.
Lets be clear, Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions are telling these individuals they they need to turn in their resignations and leave their offices by the end of business Monday Morning. CLinton and Reno sent out a memo saying their intention was to replace everyone within the next year, and in actuality, it took 2 years.

2 years =/= 4 day(friday night to Monday)

yes, they all get fired as they are political appointees, but they are not all fired on the same day and told to get out like they were yesterday.

I think everyone posting here is smart and can differentiate.

It's a sad day for New Yorkers, we've lost our crusader against corruption. It's a shame Preet didn't get to bring down Cuomo before he left

Oh well, maybe the Democrats can appoint him as the special prosecutor to go after Trump should they retake the House in 2018.

BTW: how big of a pr**k do you have to be to go against your gentleman's agreement to keep this guy around? Trump basically humiliated Preet by sending him into the lobby of Trump Tower to say he will stay on only to fire him 3 months later. I think Donald Trump created his worst nightmare today.

so if you are an attorney hired by the previous administration and you know its procedure that your job is gone with the new administration, why would you complain if they fire you in March or later......they knew it was coming since November the 8th of last year.

That's like the weather forecast tells you a rain storm is coming in advance and you are surprised and shocked later that you are getting wet and forgot your umbrella.

taking 2 years in a 4 year administration term to bring your own attorneys makes NO sense.....that's half of the term.....so its going to take 2 full years until you bring your own attorneys to push the agenda of the new adminostration????? you don't make sense at all.......why not keep JOHN KERRY as Secretary of State for another 2 years so the guy can get a pay check, poor guy!

He was also investigating Fox News. And three ethics watchdog groups wrote to him this week asking him to look into emoluments wrt trump.

The point being made wasn't that it should take 2 years to replace the Attorney's. The point was that even in previous cases where mass resignations were asked for, such as in 1993, the attorney's generally stayed on until a replacement was nominated and voted on by the Senate.

of course he can. It will almost certainly end with Trump firing him. but clearly that is exactly what he wants to force Trump to do.

This will ensure Trump has no way to later lie and pretend it was an accident etc. It forces Trump to directly go back on his word. And exposes Trump as just another hack liar who says one thing and does another...

Hannity told Trump to "purge" so Trump is doing what the TV told him to.
