Curious what you guys think about this.

First tell me how much each person should be taxed.

I'll go first

Tax rate of 20% for average person

Healthcare - 40%
Welfare - 15%
Military - 20%
Education - 10%
Infrastructure - 10%
Misc. - 5%

Well .. technically the number 1 priority for the President and Congress is our security. It is not healthcare .. that is not even on the list of federal responsibilities (nor is education or welfare for that matter) under the Constitution so I certainly would not allocate double for it what the spending is for the military.

Times have changed from the days of our founders.

Much less global conquest and wars.

When was the last time a country tried to conquer another country? Much less someone trying to conquer a 1st world country.

Wars and conflict are mostly regulated to 3rd world countries.

If someone tried to attack the US, we could amp up the war machine in no time to the max.

This distribution will be enough to found Public Universities to be Tuition Free, and will be enough to sustain and give maintenance to Infrastrucure. You can Stop worring for your children having to Enrol in Military to get founds for their education, and puting their lives in risk and carrying the moral death of having killing inocent people to serve the owners of Oil companies and weapon Manufacturers.

Russia invaded Ukraine just recently. And I could name off a half dozen other wars going on around the globe. Also, "amp up the war machine to the max" takes time. In WWII it took us almost 2 years before we were able to effectively counter the Germans and Japanese.
You're right on one point: with our nuclear arsenal, the odds of a foreign power attacking the US homeland are practically nil. What we need to guard against are terrorist entities like Al Qaeda and Isis. So why is Trump looking to massively increase the defense budget?
