No one is arguing that Michael Brown is an angel. He was a man, a US citizen entitled to due process and equal protection under the law. I don't have authoritarian tendencies, so I do not support extrajudicial killing by agents of the state. Call me crazy.
In general, I would agree with you. Even serial killers and child rapists have the right to due process in this country. However, sometimes a police officer needs to make a split second decision and it sounds as if he shot Brown in self defense.
Did you ever read the testimony of this witness?
Michael Brown was a thug who terrorized people to get what the wanted. When he attacked a cop, they did us all a favor and took him out of the DNA pool.
You'd think that people who were trying to uplift the plight of black people would pick a better poster boy.
...maybe there are none?
There are good examples, such as that caregiver, so it is quite perplexing why they choose lowlife thugs like Brown who were justifiably shot.
I can only guess that they jump on the band wagon so fast and so hard, it would hurt their pride too much to say, "Well, I got that one wrong. It looks like it was a good shoot."
