Of course it matters. It gives context as it is a bill she does not really want herself and she knows will never get passed.
So to insinuate that the "whacky" Texans actually trying to pass a bill that fines men for masturbating is disingenuous.

Per the article it is intended to draw attention to women's abortion right being reduced in Texas.

What exactly has Texas done to reduce the rights of women??? I'm asking sincerely as I thought Roe V Wade was a nationwide thing.

I don't care enough to research all of the details myself so if someone has some bullet points that would be nice.
