•President’s weekly address, June 6, 2009: "If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too. The only change you’ll see are falling costs as our reforms take hold."
i don't believe they said 24 million would lose their insurance - they said that 24 million would be uninsured. that includes people who were forced to buy insurance under obamacare and that who no longer want to.

Especially younger working millennials around my age (25-30) who don't really NEED insurance.
Also, those families who were doing just fine until Obamacare came and super increased their premium.
Or small businesses who couldn't stay afloat because they were forced to pay their employees Obamacare instead of them having independently owned insurance.
Made them switch their long time doctors for some crappy doctors who could barely speak English, etc.
People somehow still don't realize that Obamacare, while good in theory, hurt a lot of people in the long run.

Younger people don't think they need insurance until they get in a car accident or get cancer. Then what?
As I said in another thread, I won't call him a liar until the bill is on his desk and a pen is in his hand. Until it's signed, he's not yet lied about that.

It was foolish of Obama to make that promise. But a bill that does not necessarily gauruntee universal access, as is the case with AHCA, doesn't have that kind of wiggle room. Not everyone is covered because the bill is not designed to do so. The promises made by both executives are not being fulfilled, but one is in relation to the bill by design and the other is a consequence that is out of the bills control.
