It would be nice to see more of Trumps tax returns but he is still under audit
Obama, GW Bush and every president going back decades released their returns, Trump on the other hand is under the longest audit in history, hopefully it will end before he leaves office.
The audit excuse is dumb. He should simply say he doesn't want to release them. I find the whole tax return thing kind of dumb. Career politicians structure their finances to appear a certain way knowing that they will be released. Trump structured his as a business man, which are going to look different than a politician's returns.
Oh he was serious...I am more interested in her emails than his boring tax reports.
It's not like the US government doesn't have his returns. I'm sorry but Democrats have lost the plot. If he had blatant "Russia Connections" the IRS would have a front row seat to all of it and would act on it as appropriate.
Now emails are on the otherhand not shared with government agencies or the public. So there is some utility on shining some sunlight on them.
If you're concerned about "Russia Connections", I have some news for you, the IRS already has all his returns.
It's not just the Russia connections. It is how he as president will leverage his power to benefit his businesses. That is the main point. If he starts making deals or trying to pass bills that benefit him personally that is unethical. The fact he won't release them, speaks volumes.

The tax return disproves any number of lies the Liberals made up about President but it was illegal anyway and they need to be jailed for their seditious activities.
He paid about 38M in taxes. The bulk of which is due to the AMT -.. now if he decides to enact a tax reform to remove the AMT, his time as president would surely have been worth it. Imagine how much less he and his rich buddies will be paying in taxes after we remove the AMT...
The 2 page 1040 form isn't enough though, the important thing is the source of his income which we still need to look at. But until the Repugs stop blocking any attempt in the Senate to get Trump's returns released we won't know if Trump is truly beholden to any foreign person or gov't.
Do we truly want someone holding our country's highest office to act in someone or some other country's interest?
This is why Trump should not release his returns.

People act like releasing tax returns is a panacea for corruption. Most politicians release their returns and most still find ways to be corrupt. They just find revenue that doesn't show up on the returns.

Politicians have passed laws that benefit them forever.
It's highly amusing watching empty headed liberals sitting around waiting for their talking points. Someone in a basement somewhere is working very hard to make this look good for them and bad for Trump.
To be honest, $38.4 Million is more than I thought he would pay in income taxes for $150 Million in income.
Additionally, he pays millions more in property taxes, payroll taxes for employees, excise taxes, etc...
When you add in this new information and the fact that Maddow and her guest kept parsing specific terms in a manner that anyone with a clue could tell that they were purposefully being slanted...this is a win for Trump.
Perhaps as the guest suggests, Trump might have released it himself.
With that said, when they weren't slanting their reporting to push their bias, they did make some good points against the AMT.
