Some parties claim to be dead set against allowing the current prime minister's party to form a winning coalition. However, other parties claim to be dead set against allowing the rising euro-skeptic-anti-refugee party to gain control.
Some people feel as if the current prime minister took a tougher stance against Turkey to shore up his credentials against being too soft as in not pushing assimilation, etc...
Of the 12 or more parties expected to win seats - it could take a long time to form a coalition and that coalition could be rocky.
I hope Geert wins even though he is not 100% in line with my views he wants to leave the EU and stop invasion. I doubt he can get a government but it will make people mad if he wins and can't form a government because the others are anti Dutch.
Wilders and the PVV are the anti-Dutch party. Some of the parties won't work with the ruling VVD but NONE of the parties will work with the PVV. Wilders is wasting his time, he should just move to Moscow with his buddy Putin who funds all of these far-right nationalist parties in Western Europe.
I am going to laugh so hard when the VVD coalition government continues in place ... or even better if a left wing coalition of Labor, Socialists, Greens and D66 takes power.
Wilders is the populist candidate and has based his campaign on anti-Islam and anti-immigration. It will be interesting to see how the Netherlands votes today. They are known as a very tolerant country, but is that tolerance wearing thin? How this election unfolds may telegraph how French and German citizens will vote later this year.

Germans will not vote non-establishment. They are too regimented and obsessed with rules and order. They are also not very individualistic compared to most other Western countries. Ever ride German public transportation? It's dead silent in an unnatural way.
The French are a different story. They have a history of trashing or beheading their establishment.

Europe breaths a sign of relief seeing the "Dutch Trump" was rejected at the polls.
