Got to wonder if Nancy Pelosi knows anything at all what Obamacare is costing working America and small business.
I said many times the cost of Obamacare was going to cost the Democrats this demographic and as a result they had no chance to win the election. The history speaks for itself.
Pelosi is an out of touch with reality politician who lives in the bubble of DC. She should really retire.
She was the one who said that "we" the senate needs to pass Obamacare so we can see what is in it... Seriously.
Obamacare has been a boom for some and a burden for others. The feds need to get out of healthcare and many other things as well.
The most urgent need for health care is to have prices openly listed for every single item.
Hospitals, clinics, specialists, emergency rooms, medications, lab tests, xrays, etc.
It is absolutely devastating chaining law abiding citizens to signing "guarantee of payment" prior to receiving unknown amount of "care", while allowing unlimited number of illegal alians and others who for whatever reasons will not or cannot pay.
While I view Pelosi as part of the swamp, show me a politician, Democrat or Republican, that wouldn't get bashed over ACA, AHCA or anything healthcare related?
Most Americans want as close to something for nothing as possible, and that's what they've voted for and predictably not gotten for generations. ACA did some good things, but the cost for patients got much worse. AHCA reduces federal spending vs ACA, at the expense of patients - we get to choose between paying more or losing coverage.
Unless we can reduce the underlying cost of health care (it's twice the OECD average in the US), all Washington can do is rearrange the furniture, and pick winners and losers. And that's all ACA and AHCA do.
Anecdotal on both sides but people lie to make their points. One guy said he was paying 2400 a month for a bronze plan and mentioned Dallas burbs. So I put in McKinney, made both parents 50 years old to drive up costs and 2 teenage kids. Income was 100K so no subsidies.
One ultra crappy bronze plan was right under 900 a month. A much better but still useless until you hack off an arm plan was 1050 a month. 3 providers to choose from. 2400 a month got you crazy good coverage.
Haha of course that happened. Thousands of paid Kremlin trolls(meow HI HATER I SEE U) live online 24/7 attacking anything and everyone that even questions comrade Trump-thats a long ago exposed tactic---YAWNS.
Are you are upset that King Donald is totally ineffective outside of executive orders? Hahaha

All this is, is Pelosi and Paul Ryan trying to save your precious President Obama's legacy. The GOP are the ones at fault, they thought Hillary had this and did nothing, now they want to act like they're doing something.
Pelosi tweeting, she is hard enough to understand when speaking, can't imagine reading her limited character tweets.
Why don't they realize that for the people that they did help with Obamacare, that it screwed over 2-3x many people in the same process? It's like they don't even want to acknowledge that.
Even when Trump was campaigning, that's what I knew what he was talking about. I know of quite a few people who had to pay way more per month for health insurance before Obamacare came into play.
The fact that they don't want to even acknowledge that actually makes me mad.

I believe that was the intent - more or less. You cannot provide something free (or cheap, or subsidized) to someone without someone else having to pay for it.
But, to your overall point, I agree with you and Waterlily Pad.
I also agree that government needs to get out of healthcare (or more precisely, healthcare insurance). I recognize there is a problem, and I also realize that I don't know all the intricacies of it all, but government intervention like this isn't the answer.
