of course the left is saying that Trump released it to them.... they know that the ONLY person who can LEGALLY release it to the public is the person whoms tax return it is....
the left is just CYOA, because they know if it wasn't trump who released it, then they publicized( released to the public) an illegal action of making public a private legal (its signed) document

What's also funny to me is how the left keeps calling this a "distraction"from Russia and TrumpCare.
But....Rachel Maddow and MSNBC are the ones who made this a huge story, not Trump.
MSNBC didn't have to release this and it could be a non-issue.

CNN doesn't have any problem spending most of their time on Trump team colluding with Russian in fixing election without any proof. They kept on pushing stories based on some information from intelligence agencies. But they refused wire tapping because there is no proof. But they kept on getting information from intelligence agencies regarding Russians. Basically both of them are unproven accusations so far. But they are pushing Russian thing so hard. There is a liberal reporter on Fox news who reports on weekends I think. He does much more reporting in short time for liberals than all others who are basically stuck with same anti Trump dirt pulling agenda even after elections.

LOL, so that's where that came from. Late last night, a leftist on C-D posted Trump was using this as a distraction from Russia and healthcare. Of course refusing to acknowledge that it was Maddow who made a big deal about it to draw in viewers. So essentially that forum member was parroting the liberal media.

How come the documents have a "CLIENT COPY" stamp on them if they were released by IRS?
Personally, I've never understood why releasing your tax returns ever became a thing. The IRS has everyone's tax returns. If something criminal happened, they are already aware of it. This is especially true when you're talking about multi-billionaires like Donald Trump. The amount of scrutiny and double-checking increases massively when tiny mistakes might cost you millions of dollars rather than hundreds. If Donald Trump ever cheated on his taxes, the release of his tax returns would only allow you to see that fact if the IRS was already aware that Trump did something wrong. It isn't going to expose a massive treasure trove of criminal activity. The IRS would have already taken legal action accordingly. I think it just comes down to journalistic voyeurism. It gives the news media something to pick apart, over analyze and obsess about. Kinda like throwing a few balls of yarn to a bunch of cats.
I fully anticipate that CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, the NY Times and Washington Post will go out of their way to spin every little thing as a scandal. I have absolutely no faith that they'll just report the facts and let the American people make up their own minds. And Fox News will do their own thing running in exactly the opposite direction, telling you "Nobody did anything wrong!" But will we learn anything useful? I'm betting we won't.
I think that all media outlets have lost a ton of credibility. They could uncover a legit scandal and about 70% of Americans aren't going to pay any attention. They'll just assume that it's another case of the media running around like Chicken Little screaming, "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" The Left would do well to save their outrage for the times when Trump actually does something terrible. As it stands, if/when he does something terrible, nobody will care. That's a huge problem IMHO.
