The Mexican owned blog called the New York Times is eating yet more crow. Remember the published a definitive article that said Trump had not paid taxes in two decades.

Maybe they are all puppets of the President of Mexico?
Has the FBI launched an investigation into the Democrats and Hillary's connection to the President of Mexico? Clearly, the New York Times is taking money from the President of Mexico and had been trying to influence the Presidential election of the United States. Currently The NY Times and most politicians in Congress that are Democrats have and remain in active treason in an attempt by covert intelligence agencies of Mexico to overthrow the President of the United States.
And you know this because of the irs letter of intent to audit that they published? Oh that's right. They never did.
I know this because Trump stated it as fact to the US Press.
He is being audited, his lawyers told him not to release anything as result. Why would you question me on it? These facts are out there for anyone who knows anything about using google.
Was there a definitive claim that he had not paid taxes, or was there just the statement that he may have legally avoided taxes for up to 20 years due to business losses? The article you posted referenced an October 1, 2016 article that said he could have avoided taxes. It definitely was not a definitive claim.
I only remember the later, but if I'm wrong, I would be interested in any additional source that supports what you wrote..
"May" is NOT news. Sadly the NY Times reporting IMO is no longer news.

"Could have"...
Hillary could have been Hitler's daughter.
Bush could have been Hitler's son.
Bill Clinton could have been a pediphole.
I read the article. There were liberals here who used that article as proof he paid no taxes. When I argued that it said "could have" they wanted no part of it.
Now the same people are suddenly pointing out it said "could have"
Classic.
