Your opinion based on what?

"you really think the state department is inefficient compared to the DOD"

Does it matter?

Having worked for both, YES I do

Have you worked for either?

They BOOTH need to be "audited".
I agree but cutting they are cutting the state Dept 28% and increasing the DOD 10% and that 10% increase ($54B) is the equivalent funding of several agencies.

We are NOT talking about 2008

We are talking about NOW.
Do you know anything about the new regulations that Obama put into place that Trump wants to bring back to the levels BEFORE Obama's new ones?

DoD has been cut every year under the sequester while other agencies GAINED in their budgets.

I have given great detail how I think ALL fed programs should be looked at INCLUDING DoD.

I don't see this getting through congress but is this what voters wanted, more spending for defense and security and massive cuts everywhere else.
Love the theme of this thread. The title says what a majority of Americans want.

Elections have consequences - sounds good to say this in 2017.....

I think you are reading too much into the elections, I don't believe this is what most people wanted. They wanted Trump more than Clinton, the rest is conjecture, the polls indicated many people disliked the ACA and that is no longer true.
