Freedom Works sponsored a Tea Party rally in Washington D.C. yesterday to support the repeal of the ACA. Only about 700 people showed up for the event.

Chances are, very few even heard it took place yesterday, the turnout was so small. I only knew about it because my local news featured a story about a busload of locals who were attending.

What a paltry turnout. Is the Tea Party's influence on the wane?

Maybe a lot of Tea Party folks are covered by the ACA.

The TEA Party was destroyed by the media, establishment politicians and the failure to properly vet politicians in a rush to win elections.

Hopefully, another movement that is managed better rises.

The TEA party might be past its prime, but grass-roots resistance to the delusion called the Social Justice Warrior mentality has never been stronger.

Tea party activists. Big banner across a local overpass that said something like "NO GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE". Staffed by old people on government health care, rallying against government health care.

The last Tea Party rally I attended was on November 8th, 2016.

Ask Hillary Clinton and John Boehner about the decline of the Tea Party's influence.

I always look at the Tea Party as a cry of pain due to the 'Right to Work' laws.

It is much more involved and powerful where average wages are low. As a result the standard of living is not rising or it is declining and people feel the pinch of the tax burden more severely. Some actually depend on programs like Medicare (I know someone like this) and support the Tea Party while is attacks the programs they rely upon.

Where people are really hurting they lash out. They may not realize how much they actually benefit by Federal programs, they just want the pain to go away.

Many people do not realize that it is not the taxes that are the problem, but policies which keep an earner's wages down. Right to Work states typically have lower wages on average, which is why the Republican Party pushes to expand the policy so vigorously.
