Our allies care. After the Orangutan's first botched raid, Yemen cut us off from intelligence and further raids. Do you think we're safer now because of that?

Trump can't bomb Syria if we are not in Syria. There are no guidelines. You are the reason Trump can expand on Obama's actions who expanded on Bush's actions.

The Saudis will take over with our weapons so not not really. When we quit killing innocents, when we quit getting involved in other nations civil wars, that is when the attacks against Americans will stop and we will be much safer.

Are you saying that starting a war with them to start with was not enough to put them over the edge?

Yeah, let's not strike the terrorist, invite them for a luncheon and sing kumbaya around a campfire. That's the Obama way.

That's a rhetorical question, of course. I know why people over-emote and stretch reality to fit narratives. I personally find such willful exaggeration to be very dishonest and certainly not at all admirable, however.

Keep reading. Others indicate that over 100 are dead, and it was American planes. Some report it was Russian planes. It's all over the place.

I suspect we hit a neighboring building, and took out the mosque as well. The link I used looked like it was fairly reasonable reporting given the other news reports at the time. The US military admits targeting a building near the mosque. Given that I find the denials of responsibility fairly unreasonable.

Bonus points for making it personal. Former military?
I'm not former military at all. I'm not even a conservative. I'm not a Trump voter, either. I oppose military action in the Middle East.

But truthfulness is an extremely important virtue in my world. I'm reliant upon it to help guide me in my decision-making. I see it's importance slipping from the character of many many people, and that troubles me. This thread is just another of the countless examples of how low people are willing to expose their characters in order to push a narrative. It's repugnant.

Are you unaware of just who the CinC is NOW?

It came with the job, it's his now.

You posted, and I'm quoting you directly, that "We just bombed a mosque full of innocents, dozens dead".

This is completely unsubstantiated as of this moment. And yet you posted it as fact anyway.

That makes you a liar. You created a false headline and pushed a story that has not been verified. Why? Why would you so prematurely rush to begin a dialogue before actual data is available?
