President Bonkers has doubled-down on his claims of being under surveillance by Obama. Sean Spicer recited a claim by the WH that Obama used the British spy agency, GCHQ, to do the dirty work for him. http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/17/politi...ial/index.html

The United Kingdom's intelligence agency has strongly denied White House allegations it spied on US President Donald Trump on behalf of former President Barack Obama during the 2016 election.
GCHQ, in a highly unusual public statement, said the claims repeated by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, were "utterly ridiculous" and ought to be ignored.

The BBC is reporting that Spicer didn't actually apologize but agreed not to mention it again.
This is the kind of crap that weakens the US in the eyes of our allies, and worse in the eyes of our enemies. When will the WH realize it can't just spew lies, without any consequences.

Yes, so much for our "special relationship". But hey, we're MAGA, right? We don't need anyone else!

Maybe the lying Dems and their lying lib media lapdogs could set an example for them?
Like no more "bust of Martin Luther King being removed from the Oval Office", and no more "Russian Connection" with no evidence to back it up?

How would GCHQ even know what it collects, it doesn't have to taget Trump specifically as it just collects so much information every day that chances are it did collect information about Trump.

Furthermore the UK is home to the largest US Overseas NSA Base at Menwith Hil in Yorkshire has it is more commonly known, where the NSA and GCHQ work alongside each other.
Whilst NSA staff are also seconded to GCHQ main base at Cheltenham, whilst GCHQ staff work at Fort Meade in Maryland.
Other importand bases include the US Base at Croughton in Northamptonshire in England which was involved in the phone tapping of Angela Merkel, whilst GCHQ Bude in Cornwall is used to tap in to submarine cables and satellite communications, as all phones (including cell phones) are relayed in to firbre optic cables where they can travel at up to the speed of light, and the internet and phone systems are also relayed across a global communications system. GCHQ even brag that they can tap any phone, any where at any time and the official term used is Global Telecoms Exploitation .
The NSA has also been funding GCHQ and gave them £100 million a few years ago and it was GCHQ who suppposedly first drew US Intelligences attention to Russian involvement in the US Election Campaign.
Whilst a further secretive organisation known as Her Majesty’s Government Communications Centre (HMGCC) but seperate to GCHQ has been involved in the hacking of phones and smart televisions in order to listen in to conversations for MI5, MI6 and the CIA.
The US has agreed not to repeat claims the UK's communications intelligence agency wiretapped Donald Trump in the weeks after he won the US election.
GCHQ denied allegations made by the White House that it spied on Mr Trump as president-elect.
No 10 has been assured the allegations would not be repeated, a spokesman for Prime Minister Theresa May said.
He said it had been made clear to US authorities the claims were "ridiculous and should have been ignored".
