I think all of this would be solved by having a budget proposed plan, and each tax bracket having to vote to approve their tax increase.

The budget can be itemized, and each item can appear to be voted on.

I personally would vote for increased infrastructure, better policing, new scientific programs, cleaner technology (I'm an environmentalist) but I would veto any tax increases that go to welfare, social security, medicaid, medicare, any kind of government funded health care program, any program for the homeless.

I, too, hate wealth redistribution. I hate the redistributing my wealth to a corporate America dominated by cronies, collusion and monopolies. I do support an actual free market. Walmart and countless others obviously do not. Insurance companies do not.

I do strongly support taxing the top tenth percentile to pay for healthcare, Meals on Wheels, Environmental Protection and all the other programs that help ALL Americans and not just the upper crustaceans.

That's wealth redistribution. I thought you said you hated it?

He's probably one of the very few people (if not the ONLY one) on the left that conservatives have some semblance of respect for, instead of pure hatred and vitriol towards virtually anyone with a "D" next to their name. I knew it wouldn't happen, but I was hoping Bernie would've been nominated. There's no doubt in my mind he would've beaten Trump in the election. Democratic turnout would've been higher than it was last November, since not many people (including myself) cared for Hillary. The DNC really screwed up.

Hell, I know a few conservatives around here that flat out admitted that if it had been practically anyone else on the Democratic ticket other than Hillary, they wouldn't have voted for Trump because of his ridiculous antics. They wanted Hillary to lose more than they wanted Trump to win. Hillary just had way too much nuclear-level heat from both sides of the aisle.

But now as a result of the DNC, we have a paranoid president that has temper tantrums on Twitter with the maturity of a 5-year-old.

You realize if Sanders was nominated, Bloomberg would have run as an independent? That would split the Democrat vote in half

The more established, successful and moderate wing would vote for Bloomberg and the unwashed and poor masses would vote for Sanders. Trump would have easily won in this scenario.
