What a relief! Now legislators can finally use the bathroom, secure in the knowledge that their masculinity will remain intact.

More like some people are against letting cross dressers go into opposite sex bathrooms

To me this is really simple and shouldn't be a political issue. If you are born with an outtie you go to the men's room. If you are born with an innie you go to the girl's room.

If you want to dress up as the opposite sex or transition to the opposite sex by all means do so. Just don't make us change everything for the very few of you.

Tired of this issue being all over the media. Less than one percent, .5 percent of the population is supposedly transgendered. Not enough to make all of this hoopla. The transgendered folks have been around a long time now, how have they been using the restroom before all of this?? I'm guessing they went into the head that they most physically resembled and used whatever discretion was needed.

This insanity now with all these demands for separate bathrooms and whatever else they want. We've got millions of other things to get dealt with.

I've heard countless women express concerns that creepy pervy guys using these new laws would be able to go into the women's restroom to get their jollies. I don't know how true that would be or if it would happen at all, but leave the laws alone if it is a concern and let the .5 percent deal with it like they've been doing all along.

Locally a neighboring school district is being sued by a students parents. Apparently the student( a boy) took offense at having a girl undress in the boys locker room during gym class.
Okay, let's have the jokes......

It was right to delegate this to the states. They can do as they wish, and manage any forthcoming issues that follow.

You, and many other people completely missed the problem with these Bills. They FORCED mixed-sex changing and showering in public (schools, park districts, etc.) multiple occupancy open locker/shower rooms based solely on one's whim of "identifying" as the opposite sex (no proof whatsoever of actually being a transgender required), which the vast majority of people oppose.

From the article linked in the OP:
Quote:
"This was the latest in a string of defeats for transgender rights this week. The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday threw out a lower court ruling in favor of a Virginia transgender student after President Donald Trump rescinded a policy put in place last year protecting such youths."
Many liberals are opposed to forced mixed-sex changing/showering, as well, as we can see by this article on a NYC Park Distirct Girls Swim Team:

Quote:
Girls from a swim team in New York City's Upper West Side are too scared to use the women's locker room at a Parks Department swimming pool. In March, a sign appeared noting that everyone has the the right to use the restroom or locker room consistent with their "gender identity or gender expression." Around the same time, the girls, who range in age from about seven to 18, became concerned after they saw a "bearded individual" in the women's changing room.

They are now using the family changing room to change in and out of their swimsuits, but it is not big enough for all 18 girls...

An employee at the center who spoke on condition of anonymity says the individual using the locker room appears to present as a man—wearing swim shorts or trunks to swim, with sideburns going down into a beard—which is partly what alarms the girls and their parents. Staff members have also been warned that asking individuals to prove their gender identity would be discriminatory. "Our hands are tied," the worker said. "We can't say anything about it."

LGBT SJWs pushed way too far on this and the backlash has lost the LGBT community a lot of the sympathy for and support of their cause they used to have.
