Evelyn Farkas is certainly NOT helping the congress people who are denying that surveillance went on. From her interview today:

Quote:
Evelyn Farkas, deputy assistant secretary of defense under Obama, made the disclosure March 2 while on the air with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.

“I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration,” Farkas, who is now a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, said.

“Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left, so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy ... that the Trump folks – if they found out how we knew what we knew about their ... the Trump staff dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.”

Exactly. People who know Nunes consider him intelligent, reliable and very serious. That's why they're so frightened of him.

Oh please--this is not the bizarro universe of the alt-right. And who is "in the know"? If not the Dems or 'establishment GOP'--that leaves the crazies.

His behavior is strange to anyone who does the right thing while he goes off on his own little loopy path of servitude to his master. They aren't 'nervous' -- they are laughing at and embarrassed by him. Nunes could not even competently explain what he was doing. He changed his story several times. He has done what Trump commanded. Blow up the House Intel investigation because it did not support his wacky tweeted accusations.

Now the Senate Intel Committee has to take over due to the imbroglio that the inept Nunes created. They will get to the truth. Watergate took almost two years to uncover.

“The problem that he’s created is he’s gone off on a lark by himself, sort of an Inspector Clouseau investigation here,” Graham said.

I just happened to catch Frank Rich (NYT) tonight on CNN - who again used the term "lightweight" for Nunes like what Scarborough did the other day. Rich though explained the context. Nunes, he guesses, BELIEVES he is helping Trump but instead the sheer buffoonery is intensifying speculation about a possible cover-up.

I'm not following this all that closely - but did wonder about one possible bind for the WH. Didn't the the WH (Spicer) start out denying knowledge about the Nune's contact? But because THAT would make this contact a "leaker" (though some tried to use the more acceptable "whistleblower") the latest WH rendition is that the disclosure to Nunes was "approved."

But how can an Administration "approve" a contact (to Nunes) if they don't know who the source is?

Very confusing times these are for detecting. Probably for the best that I'm not trying to keep the stories straight.

Great points when one scratches the surface of events.

LOL!!! LOL!!! Where would you look, MSNBC??

No one else is covering this like Fox News is. No one! And that's a fact. That's because all of the rest of the so-called "mainstream media" is embedded in the Democrat Party, and protecting them. They are all anti-Trump. You won't find them exposing anything. But Sara Carter of Circa News (who has been appearing on Hannity) has been on this for months, and is exposing it. This is unraveling even as we 'speak.'

"Incidental surveillance" is not the innocent term that you seem to think it is. "Incidental surveillance" is still surveillance, and names were "unmasked," which is a crime.

One name has come up: "Evelyn Farkas." She has just exposed how the Trump transition team was in fact being surveilled, and she advised her collegues, "get as much information as you can." She was an official in the Obama administration involved in intelligence gathering. She admitted to surveillance of Trump transition team members.

Interesting you mention that, because that's what got Judge Andrew Napalitono temporarily suspended from Fox, for suggesting that Obama was obtaining intelligence on the Trump team through British intelligence to avoid leaving a "footprint" to his administration.

Now it's becoming more an more evident that Trump was absolutely right on his "wire tap" claim. Vindicated!

Politico is not exactly an unbiased source. And Nunes is anything but "inept."

...
Nunse not only shut down the House hearing, he has now drawn Ryan into covering up for Trump.

Every Republican in the House who is not demanding that the House Intelligence Committee get back to business is no better.
