People are deathly afraid of being thought of as not one of the "nice, good" people. And the narrative was established around 100 years ago the "nice, good people" are the leftists. So most people just flock to leftism to deal with that fear that they have.

All of us are indoctrinated with statism at birth (at the exact time we signed the social contract ).

To break free from the diabolical nefarious system of violence and forced collectivism one must value the rights of the individual above everything else and by doing so shun aggression.

Most people never think about the immorality of statism and if they do they quickly run back to it as a security blanket.

It's a good theory. Do leftists know how they got to be that way or do they have to read research?

Well, concerning this leftist, I'm not the nicest guy out there. I also don't give a rat's ass what people think of me. But, hey, label me a leftist because I think being against single payer healthcare, a clean environment, and people being treated equally instead of their race are deplorable positions to take. Whatever floats your boat, I don't care

Not only nice and good, but also educated, smart, hip, cool, etc... media and corporations have done a bang up job of marketing liberal attitudes as superior in all aspects.

Yep. That's the programed attitude.

No, come on; it's been clear for a long time now what being "conservative" means. Likely a mean person, against love, against helping people, selfish (just wants more money), regressive, punitive, cares more about the Ten Commandments than about people, similar to that "right winger" Hitler, etc. etc.

This is what being a conservative "means".

But none of this matters. Propaganda (which is what we are talking about---pure propaganda and the business of creating mental templates and narratives) doesn't care at all what YOU think. And it certainly does not care about what's true.

It truly is remarkable how quickly the narrative was formed, once they really set their mind to creating it ("they" being the socialists, far leftists, etc.) They had been trying to seize power rather impatiently. And they actually thought they had done so with the election of Wilson. However, he badly disappointed them when he started to have leftists and anarchists arrested for sedition during WWI. They felt betrayed and realized that they were not going to "get there" via the likes of weasel politicians. So they very quickly became more sophisticated and consciously turned their strategy towards infiltrating and taking over the popular culture: literature, education, journalism, film, theater, radio, art, etc. And within just a couple of decades it was a fait accompli: the narrative was set. And since it was completely intertwined with one of the most primal fears that almost all people have---being a "bad" person---it was unbelievably effective. And still is.

No, not buying it. Sounds like a tinfoil conspiracy theory to me
