The answer is partly in the quote:

"Another Obamacare tax that takes a big bite out of the bank accounts of the wealthy is the tax on net investment income, or money earned outside of salary or wages. This is separate from the capital gains tax and was estimated to cost the top 1 percent of households an average of nearly $25,000 a year, according to the Tax Policy Center."

Taking away taxes on investment income isn't going to help anyone but the people who were paying the taxes.

It's time to stop government-sanctioned thievery.

Pay for your own stuff.

Income is income and should be taxed as such, period.

Well, maybe we should see this for what it really is. The ACA forced one group of people to buy health care for another group of people that they don't even know. Now the GOP plan is trying to stop that practice. That is reality.

But as a health care provider, I would like to see everyone covered, so I have mixed feelings about this new GOP plan. I think they can do better and don't know why they are trying to rush this through.

Healthcare has never been about the people. It's been about the party and $$$$$.

Wait a minute? STOP -- it's not only the rich using their own money.

I know people that make well under 200K paying 17000 K a year for their health premiums. Please tell me where they are getting assistance from the Govt.

In our household we are fortunate to have a company that provides insurance that doesn't cost us personally too much but should they and us get a benefit because i'm sure we are paying taxes like the rich that are used to fund health care costs for other peple?
