President Tweety Bird took credit a few hours ago for 20,000 jobs that were first announced in 2015, under the Obama administration.

Poor guy....looks like a loss on tRUMPcare and no other good news to report....so he just makes it up. Sad!
Trump touts Charter hiring that was in works for two years | Reuters

Quote:
Much of the announcement was not new. Charter said last May that it planned to add 20,000 jobs as part of its merger with Time Warner Cable and acquisition of Bright House Networks. As early as June 2015, Rutledge said Charter would need an additional 20,000 employees after those deals.

On a number of occasions, Trump has touted job announcements at the White House that had been previously planned or announced.

Default Charter Communications To Hire 20,000 New Workers Over Next 4 Years

Today the CEO of Charter Communications told President Trump they will hire 20,000 new workers over the next 4 years and invest $25 billion on broadband infrastructure. They said they would hire more workers prior to the Trump administration when they purchased Time Warner in 2015 but today is the first time they said WHEN they would hire.

Quote:
"The large investment in broadband infrastructure was a new commitment from Charter. Rutledge signaled that it was made because of the policies of Trump and congressional Republicans, who have promised to cut corporate taxes and reduce regulations. Rutledge said the company was “excited about the opportunity in the right regulatory climate and the right tax climate to make major infrastructure investments...Rutledge also renewed an earlier promise to bring all of Time Warner Cable’s call centers back to the U.S. About 50% of Time Warner Cable’s customer service calls are handled offshore, he said.”

Charter promises Trump something new ($25-billion investment) and something old (20,000 jobs) - LA Times
Those punks in the House and Senate better get going on tax reform.

lol, yeah, those Trump job announcements are so cringeworthy. Impossible to not laugh at his ridiculous claims. After his massive lie about Obama wiretapping him, his lying is running on fumes.

Charter is going after Comcast. They are growing big time here in the Denver metro area.

I agree, get going on the tax stuff.

I planned on winning the lottery 20 years ago, doesn't actually mean I am going to win the lottery... if I do win the lottery, it's not because I said it 20 years ago.... sorry anti-Trumpers... it didn't happen in Obama's Presidency for a reason... Thank you President Trump...

Did they hire 20,000 workers today??? Then it's still just their PLAN. All these businesses are sucking up to tRUMP because it's free publicity.

Is it not standard for all politicians to take credit for good things and place blame for bad things regardless of reality? The most shocking thing about Trump is that he actually will say what he's thinking without having his talking points pre-written, tested, polled and rehearsed beforehand. Sure it's ugly sometimes or frequently depending on your viewpoint, but it is different and that's what people wanted.
