Man, do I wish that the media and Congress had pressed Bush harder for proof before we invaded Iraq. I remember when they said Colin Powell was going to present the evidence and I thought "Maybe I'm wrong about thinking this is a bad idea. Surely Powell will have something compelling" No. Not so much.
Nothing has been the same since that invasion. Taking out Saddam upset the balance of power and destabilized the whole region. Then Obama continues the legacy by taking on Libya and now Syria.
Before the Iraq invasion, the world was on our side. They were all sympathetic about 9-11, and we, as a country, were pulling together.
Now, look at the state of the jihad. Attacks ( granted, not like 9-11) in Europe and the US, iSIS recruiting our disenfranchised young online and in prisons.
We caught heat when a few innocents died in a drone strike, and we're talking possibly hundreds. This is unforgivable in this day and age, somebody needs needs to be reassigned here, this can't fly.

But where are those who've continually feigned such concern over civilians killed while Obama was POTUS? Why are they not quickly labeling Trump a war monger and murderer?

Oh now it's a problem because it's under Trump's presidency but you didn't feel any remorse when Obama did it.
That's what the hypocritical left does. When "no nation building" Bush was President the anti war rhetoric was all around. When their "bring the troops home" liar got the job that rhetoric from the very same people dies down for the most part. And now that we have a "no getting involved in other nations civil wars" liar the rhetoric is stepped up again. And the left wonders why they little credibility.
Bring the troops home and protect our borders like the Constitution says.
They kill a handful, let's start a war. We kill hundreds, so what.
It's really difficult to take the war mongers seriously any longer. It's too bad that the repercussions of doing that is so much death, destruction and waste.
What is it that America actually wants in the Middle-East?
Ignore ISIS itself for a minute. The real question is, who is backing ISIS? They have gotten billions in funding, and governments(including America) have smuggled in weapons to ISIS and other groups.
So what is it that the backers of ISIS want?
If you imagine for a moment that Americans are being controlled/manipulated by a sort of cabal of rich and influential men. Then the question is, what is it that those men want? What benefit is it to stir the pot? To push us into war?
"To put it in a terminology that harkens back to the more brutal age of ancient empires, the three grand imperatives of imperial geostrategy are to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together." - Zbigniew Brzezinski
