West Virginia is almost all white and almost 10% of them are being supported by the rest of the country. Welfare has been decreasing steadily for years, while Disability has been increasing in direct proportion. Since West Virginia and the rest of Appalachia has been blaming their mess on Obama's "war on coal", now they should have no excuses whatsoever. End the Disability mess going on in the South and tell them to go get all those jobs Trump is bringing in. They have absolutely, positively no excuses whatsoever now.

OMG, that just set these climate-nuts's hair on fire!
After all these years------AL Gore, global warming/cooling and all the rest of the government-enforced scams, they still can't convince anyone outside their collectivist circle. Too funny.

Yes because...all of those west coast elitists are so in touch with the rest of America.

The democrats arent going to win elections without rust belt states- Indiana, West virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, they may even lose Wisconsin again

I really think a third party might have a better future than the democrats do, they have become a party of minorities and effete white people

Its amazing how recent so many of the rust belt states were democrat, the democrats dont need the white working class and the rust belt to survive. lol

I fully support flyover country burning as much coal as they can stand. By all means, proceed. But now that they have no restrictions, they can stop making excuses and go get all those coal jobs they said Obama took away from them.

Trump move to roll back climate rules won't bring back coal or mining jobs - Mar. 28, 2017
Quote:
The administration says Trump is delivering on a key campaign promise: to restore coal mining jobs by eliminating regulations.

But the reality is that the demand for coal in the United States has been declining for years due to capitalism, not government regulations.

Sitting on the West Coast, where unemployment in Seattle is less than 3.9% and housing is almost unavailable, I don't really care what rust belt states do. If they want Republican policies, they should get them all. Remove all environmental protections and burn coal 24/7. If that's what the Rust Belt wants, they should get it full force. Democrats in the West will just happily live out lives. The important thing is Trump is going to reduce our taxes so we can keep our money in our own region and the Rust Belt can fund themselves with all those coal jobs they will get.

Since they've been blaming Obama for their plight for the past eight years, now that they have their guy Trump, they have no one to blame? And since they CHOOSE to be coal miners, we can stop with the 10% in Disability going to West Virginia? If there's any positive out of all of this, not hearing the excuses might be it.
He's declared war. States will now enact their own environmental protection. This is such BS. People are getting rid of coal. It's not coming back. There are 75,000 coal jobs and banks will not loan to invest. There are 650,000 renewable energy jobs.

And here come the lawsuits. We also are not going to increase black lung benefits right? Now that we know that it causes black lung, it's like cigarettes--do it at your own risk.

"...The idea that coal jobs can ever come back is "one of the most cruel deceptions" being played in politics right now, Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Ky., told CNBC on Tuesday.

"They've decommissioned a lot of coal-fired plants. They've gone to natural gas plants. So I'm not sure that there's going to be that much of an impact, even in terms of increasing demand for coal," he said in an interview with "Power Lunch."
