Waters' point was to vague to be meaningful to me. I don't know who "we" is. I agree with the premise of what she's saying. She's saying patriotism isn't a partisan issue. It's not. Only stupid people think it is.

Of course, the Party of No (aka GOP) has to resort to insults based on appearance. They have no substantive issues of their own to address so why not tear down other races, cultures, libs etc.. to placate their core supporters due to their lack of governing skills.

Really - how hypocritical of you - we've seen plenty of attacks on Trump and his family as far as their appearance from the left and that doesn't seem to bother you.

You know why. And he had no choice but to apologize. Regardless of what he thinks of Waters, she's a lawmaker and based on that alone, the incident demands an apology. He said something that he'd never dream of saying to her in person. That's chicken****. But that's the Republican modus operandi.
