This 'make the press the enemy' crap isn't working any more.
When this gig is over Sean Spicer's credibility will be so shot it will be hard to get another job.

Unless perhaps working for Alex Jones as coffee boy.

hmm, and yet Spicer offered the first question of the day to April with a tacit apology and a smile.

Spicer is human and Trump is forcing him to lie on a daily basis, they pressure is getting to him and i am sure he is sorry for being such a douche yesterday. Remember, before Trump Spicer was considered an alright guy. This role does not suit him and he knows it. But he has burned his bridges to a large degree and may never be able to break the Trump association. in short his future career may lie in education when this gig is over.

Perfect description for the creep. No one with any decency would be the lying ass he is for any amount of money!

If Spicer doesn't want to see unconscious signs of disbelief, he shouldn't make statements that defy belief.

Of course, that's part and parcel of his job. The guy is far too cranky and hyper-sensitive to ever to his job well. Trump likes him, but that's because Spicer shares Trump's personality flaws. If Trump was smarter, he would go find another guy who can ignore things like unconscious head shakings and just absorb it all like a sponge.

A press secretary is supposed to be that soft placid buffer between the press and a president.

Every president will have some stuff that's half BS half the time. That's the way Washington has always worked and always will. It's the press'es job to push and dig. That's what keeps the BS shoveled down to only ankle-deep. When the press quits, the BS just piles higher and higher.

True, and I think he knows it, judging by today's press conference. I mentioned in an earlier post that April Ryan was on CNN last night and didn't criticize Sean Spicer at all. She said they both had jobs to do. I hear a lot of reporters defending him, so he must be well liked. They usually say he has a tough job because he's speaking for a President who lies and wants him to defend the indefensible.

More people seem to be upset about the way Spicer treated this reporter than the reporter. OTOH, I can't give him a pass this time, since he was very combative and sounded like a bully. Also, Spicer wanted this job and IMO is committing career suicide by lying for our tweeter-in-chief on a regular basis. I guess only time will tell, since it's only been 2 months, although it seems like 2 years.
