The USA healthcare system is among the most complicated and convoluted in the world -- he knows it, I know it, we all know it.
To casually claim otherwise just to inspire confidence from the masses is downright insulting to Americans' intelligence.
I'd have more confidence in him if he'd just admit that some issues are too complex to solve just like that, and that it will take time and effort to address certain things with no guarantee of success.
President Trump played golf Sunday with Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul, a sign the president is trying again to negotiate with congressional conservatives unsupportive of his ObamaCare overhaul plan after weeks of attacking them.
The president hosted Paul, an eye doctor and Tea Party favorite with his own ObamaCare plan, at Trump National Golf Club, in Potomac Falls, Va., about 40 minutes from the White House.
They were joined by White House Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, a founding member of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus, which led the opposition to the Republican overhaul plan that failed last month in the GOP-controlled House.
White House official Stephanie Grisham said Sunday the threesome is discussing several issues, but that “health care is a big topic.”
Paul has argued his bill more fully repeals and replaces the 2010 health care law, under which consumers are facing rising costs and fewer policy options.
