The days of Kumbaya & your comments that those oppose unregulated immigration are merely racists or are "blinded by hatred" is over. We've crossed the Rubicon. The Feds are now enforcing our laws and those cities that don't follow the law will be punished economically.

It's time to regulate immigration and eject the parasites and predators.
Anecdotes do not make you case, besides it's a different set of circumstances.

It moved the needle.

Many of us have (or have had) a 14 year old girl as a daughter. This story was graphic and is unacceptable.

If an Illegal can't keep his nose clean, then he's out of here.

You really have no clue about the role of the police do you?
So why is their motto To Protect and Serve?

"To Protect and to Serve" became the official motto of the Police Academy, and it was kept constantly before the officers in training as the aim and purpose of their profession. With the passing of time, the motto received wider exposure and acceptance throughout the department.

The Origin of the LAPD Motto - Los Angeles Police Department

"To Serve and Protect," is a phrase made famous by the Los Angeles Police De*partment and adopted, in various forms, by law enforcement agencies across the United States.

Leaders of the largest police union in the United States have warned President Donald Trump that he could endanger public safety if he follows through with cuts in federal grants to immigrant "sanctuary cities," the union's director told Reuters after a White House meeting.

In a move that concerned the Fraternal Order of Police, one of Trump's biggest supporters in the 2016 election campaign, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Monday that the Justice Department would restrict grants to jurisdictions that do not cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Interesting. Wonder if they will take this under advisement?

The SCs will redirect money in any case to deprive the police of cash and blame it on trump.

Less income prioritize funds..... guess the SCs are unfamiliar with that concept.

they can use the money they have saved over the years ignoring illegal aliens and the felons among them. So what money would they be deprived of?

SC's they tell us are very safe and have low crime...why do they need more money from the feds??????

The police need to step up their game, instead of issuing vague threats.

Yes.

It will reduce illegal immigration, since sanctuary cities encourage illegal immigration.

Nobody cares if illegal immigrants are crime victims, and there would be less crime if there were fewer illegals.

Maybe you will, but that's not what you're doing. We're not expressing opinions about whether the sanctuary cities will be less safe.

The cop says punishing sanctuary cities by withholding funds will make them less safe. The rest of us say, that's their choice and their problem.

"Immigrant" community? Illegal aliens aren't "immigrants" and since when did they become a community?

FOP=we care about ourselves and our paychecks. That's it, that's all.

They are the reason bad cops don't get fired. FOP is the enemy of every citizen in the US.

Thank you, I was going to say the same thing.
