Can we as a country stop with the self righteous narrative that only Russia does things like this?

This is true, America destroyed the birth of Democracy in the Middle East when we deposed Iran's democratically elected leader and put Shah Reza Pahlavi into power..... who was hated!

Why do you think this is new? And why are we so concerned about an almost third world country influencing our elections? And why do you ignore the fact that the USA has done this all over the globe for decades?
I've often thought this is a possibility, because the rightwingy, Obama-hating, Hillary-hating posts seem to so often be irrational, virulently emotional, non-factual, without any supporting links from reputable sources.
The only two options that seemed likely to me are either:
1. Rightwingers are dumb and irrational.
2. The posts are from shills.
The idea that there is any kind of symmetry between what Putin does and the U.S., is hogwash. We don't have orchestrated programs to influence elections around the world. Russia does and is still doing it.
Yes, it is hogwash. The USA is much better at it, has lots more resources and has influenced or hacked a lot more elections. In fact, compared to the USA the Russians are just amateurs.

Yes, it is. Who made you god and gave you the power to tell other countries how they should elect their leaders?
The US responds to the will of the people of the other countries, some of whose leaders are not democratically elected. I don't recall Americans pleading with Russia to save them from the oppressive regime of Hillary, perhaps a few Americans did ask Russia for help and that's what the FBI is looking at.
The idea that the US does it too is not a defense. Its one thing to interfere in a country where its leaders exterminates its own people, and another to interfere with a country because you think that democracy needs to fail.
Do you honestly believe governments exist to do good? What do you think happens to nice governments? Do you think America is a superpower because we are nice? Do you even know American History?
America will always do what is in its natural interests, and so will every other country. That is just how the world works, and how it has always worked. It doesn't matter if you like it or not.
The nations of the world are in a perpetual state of war with each other. We only ally with each other to protect ourselves from other countries, or other alliances..
Our so-called allies could be our enemies tomorrow, if our national interests suddenly changed(got freedom fries?).

Since you know all the conspiracies, I guess you know that Russia could blow up the U.S. anytime that their hearts desire. They have more bombs than we do. Russia is LAUGHING at the Liberals. You live in a dream world. The US has frequently chosen which leader they support. The will of the people is irrelevant. The will of the US President and the CIA is all that has mattered.
And BTW, millions of us would plead with Russia or any other nation for help reversing the Obama damage and avoiding the Hillary disaster given the opportunity.
