It sounds as if you've been psychologically traumatized by what you were taught in church. You're unable to reflect critically on information received.

You haven't addressed the fact that the majority of people living with AIDS in Africa are straight, or the fact that the virus nearly wiped out hemophiliacs in this country, including faithfully married couples and their children.

Judging by his comments, I am assuming he is Independent Fundamental Baptist or a part of a similar denomination. I grew up IFB and it's a badge of honor to be considered an extremist, because that means you are totally sold out for God. The more pushback they receive from mainstream culture, the stronger their beliefs that they are correct become.
Arguing against him is pointless. The important thing is to vote to make sure people like him stay out of public office.

Is that a spell you are trying to cast? It's not a point or a counter point, anything that can be construed as part of a discussion or a debate.

What makes you think this wouldn't have happened if sodomy was illegal? This man already was breaking the law by raping a 4 year old. You cannot possibly think that this man would have said "wait, sodomy is a sin against God and a crime against the republic" in a scenario where sodomy is a crime.
Your reasoning abilities clearly point to your acceptance of a perverted act like sodomy.

That 20 yr old man was no doubt desensitized to sodomy, which is legal.
Someone who would do something so awful does not need to be desensitized, there have always been violent sick people doing all variety of horrific things to others.
Now if you want to discuss heterosexual men pressuring women into *that* because of modern porn and expectations, there is a point to that.
