In the last measles outbreak at Disney, a baby died, the baby was too young to have been vaccinated. A gf of mine is anti vax, & I said their rights to not vaccinate, end, when it can kill an innocent child/baby.
I had measles in 1949 at 6 months old because my Mom never nursed me. Hospitalized? Go to a doctor? Nope. We unvaccinated for measles are your parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, and number in the millions. So you are worried about unvaccinated children? Are you worried about us too?
BTW, when mothers had had the measles (not MMR) themselves, their OB's were not worried about infants catching measles because their Moms (my kids born in 1979 and 1984) passed their natural immunity on to them, and through their breast milk which my own Mom didn't.
BTW, show me the link that that baby died. I think that is false. I believe there was a Washington woman who died but she HAD been vaccinated and had other medical issues.
We SHOULD get them, but should we be FORCED to get them?
The only reason, someone should be exempted of vaccinations, should be medical, due to illness or allergic reactions, and those groups would be 90% protected by the rest of the population getting their vaccines.
Other than that, you can refuse but should live quarantined. I don't want anyone else's infection putting me and my family at risk.
Because you said so, uh huh. Anti-Vaxxers are like the drunk drivers of the disease vector population. And equally as in denial as an alcoholic insisting they are just "fine" to drive home.
I'm a card carrying Democrat (I've got it around here somewhere ), but this is an issue that drives me crazy about Democrats. When Democrats point the finger at Republicans for being anti-science (which is a proper complaint in many situations), they need to look in the mirror when it comes to vaccinations and genetically modified food. When you cherrypick what science you are going to believe and what you're going to ignore/argue against, you're no better than those you exorcise. The tinfoil hats should be removed for vaccinations and GMOs, not just global warming, Darwinism, etc.
google herd immunity- also what about newborns who haven't made it through the entire cycle of vaccines or those who may be unable to be vaccinated due to other health issues, should they suffer b/c people read a blog or trust Jenny McCarty more than doctors?
While you are Googling, do a born before 1957 and see what you come up with as far as Measles, Mumps, etc., and vaccinations. Having the disease itself gives lifetime immunity, and contributes to your "herd", no vaccinations necessary.
When I first heard of Jenny McCarthy I actually thought she was one of Paul's daughters. That's how OLD I am.

unless of course you ya know, die from the disease or complications from it.....
Who doesn't "believe in" vaccinations? Are there people really out there that don't? That's frightening, if so.
I have heard people being against them, usually because they have terrible information on what they do...but most of these people at least seem to "believe in" them. They just don't want to take them.
Don't ask Suzy_q that question. She picks and chooses where her research comes from.
Everyone "picks and chooses" sources to support what they are saying. Do you care to tell us where you found the list of links in the OP?
I also provided a source that discusses the number of deaths from vaccines, which is pretty close to zero.
