Just another indicator of how the party of Obama/Emanuel isn't qualified to run the country, much less even manage a city.
Of course many Chicagoans will dismiss it as a non-issue, because it just happens in a small part of the city.
Liberals of course ignore it because any sort of pro-active police work would be seen as profiling and the leftist-organizations would filing lawsuits and going to media tirades.
All the liberal mayor does is offer politically-correct short-statement and then returns to his rich, limosine liberal lifestyle.

Chicago is the rightwing boogie-man, but only because President Obama calls it home. Otherwise, they couldn't possibly care less about it.
I was born and raised in Chicago, and I lived in the city for 46 years. Want to know how many times I or anyone in my family were the victims of a violent crime? Exactly zero times. I still have many friends and family who live in the city, and they get up every day, go to their jobs, go out to eat, see a movie, shop, go to church, all without consequence.
Chicago's crime problem has nothing to do with its Presidential politics and everything to do with its police force. They need something like what Giuliani did to finally clean up New York in the early 1990s.
While Giuliani was fast to take credit for NYC's drop in the crime rate, the rate dropped nationwide at the same time. Moreover, violent crime in New York began falling three years before Giuliani took office. Property crime began falling four years before.
This is the same poster that claimed Gilbert, AZ is a "world class city". As I read his post, enjoying a Guinness on a visit to my home city (NYC), I may never stop laughing.
Gilbert is world-class because it is the 2nd safest city in America, 1/5th of the child poverty rate of Chicago and 1/4 of the poverty rate of Chicago.
Not only that Gilbert is very, very, very Republican which is the same party as hero's like Donald Trump, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, Rudy Guilliani
Chicagoans have Democratic leadership which is the same party as Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Marion Berry, Barack Obama and the Clinton's.
Oh stop it, Gilbert isn't even close to a city, it's a sleepy town and in no way, shape or form, could ever be compared to an actual metropolis.
