This explains "Russia, Russia, Russia". They figured Hillary was a shoe in and would keep this buried. As soon as it was clear that wasn't going to happen a cover had to be created.
They pretended the spying was about Russia. It was nothing more than illegal actions to maintain power.

I totally agree with you on this. I believe the Dems were so convinced of their victory that they didn't even consider the possibility of losing, and everything that would come tumbling out from the closet once they were out of the WH. The Russian narrative sprang into full focus around 11/09/16 and the propaganda machine went to work. Three months of non-stop posturing and propaganda was more than enough to appease and convince the left of collusion between Trump and Russia. And now it's all about to fall down.

I think it is important to note, Susan Rice is not a career intelligence

A sitting U.S. President condoning the continual spying on of a presidential candidate of the opposing party is unprecedented. It's a major breach of Trust - she had no warrant, they surveilled for a year and monitored phone/emails on an opposing Political Party and Presidential Candidate - later the President Elect. Kept a spreadsheet on what they were finding - this was a major operation. ALL for "Politics" and Power.
Their "defense" is going to be stonewall, get the media to ignore it and claim it was "legal".

Leftist groups attacked Nunes in a shocking display of “liberals” protesting in support of a police state! Now, Democrats ignore or defend Susan Rice in their continued acceptance of police state.
