Yeah, because he is a frickin' hypocrite !! He thought nothing of using H-1b workers for his casinos and hotels, he thought nothing of using Chinese steel for his construction, and he still thinks nothing of having all of his clothing line made in a foreign country.

THAT is why I dis him. If he is going to make other companies obey this ruling, how about him doing it first ? You guys truly are blind, aren't you ?

Yay; another empty campaign promise from Trump disguised as a threat. What a hypocrite he is.

It's not for hiring construction workers:

Yeah, I'm an Aerospace Engineer working for an F100 company. They replaced our entire IT staff over a few years with incompetent imported workers who could barely speak English. What used to take an hour to fix ended up taking weeks with the foreigners. The nay-sayers have the gall to say American workers can't do the job, "They did the job much better then the Visa holders, they can obviously do the job".

Why does Trump say to hire American workers but hires foreign workers himself?

He hires seasonal workers. Americans looking for jobs want year round work. This has been explained over and over in this forum.

My husband's retired now but there were times that he had to clean up messes made by H1-B workers.

It's galling to see H1-Bs working while Americans in the STEM/IT fields are unemployed.

Do you even read through the posts before you write? Obviously, you didn't read post #7.

All that you've just ranted about^^^^has been explained many times in this forum. You, however, don't care. You just want to complain about Trump and don't care if you look foolish doing so.

So Trump fully supports foreign farm workers? Because that is definitely seasonal. Further, has Trump even tried? Because the local employment agency says they could place American workers for Trump.

"Trump has made the case that he couldn't find American workers. "It's almost impossible to get help," the Republican presidential candidate told CNN last month. "And part of the reason you can't get American people is they want full time jobs."

That is news to Tom Veenstra. He is senior director of support services at the Palm Beach County CareerSource office. It's a free service that links qualified job candidates with employers. And during the past two years, the agency has placed more than 50,000 people in jobs in Palm Beach County. Veenstra says he has no doubt he could fill Mar-a-Lago with U.S. workers.

"We have hundreds of qualified candidates for jobs like these," Veenstra told CNN. "That's what we do here. We help place local residents into jobs like those."
