Not our country, not our problem. The one thing that should be obvious is that we need to do EVERYTHING possible to keep Islamic terrorists out of this country before they do the same here. Beyond that-not our concern.
The GOP Congress seemed to not want to back any US military action after they requested Obama to submit a formal proposal, which was done and ignored by Congress back in 2013.
And let's not forget Trump tweeted at the time that Syria was not our problem and referencing the above. trump said "What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval."
Trump did want to get involved with Syria at all. So how is Assad using chemical weapons Obama's fault when Trump advocated doing nothing 4 years ago?
June 15, 2013: We should stay the hell out of Syria, the "rebels" are just as bad as the current regime. WHAT WILL WE GET FOR OUR LIVES AND $ BILLIONS?ZERO
August 29, 2013: @walaa_3ssaf No, dopey, I would not go into Syria, but if I did it would be by surprise and not blurted all over the media like fools.
August 29, 2013: What will we get for bombing Syria besides more debt and a possible long term conflict? Obama needs Congressional approval.
September 1, 2013: President Obama's weakness and indecision may have saved us from doing a horrible and very costly (in more ways than money) attack on Syria!
September 2, 2013: If the U.S. attacks Syria and hits the wrong targets, killing civilians, there will be worldwide hell to pay. Stay away and fix broken U.S.
September 3, 2013: What I am saying is stay out of Syria.
September 5, 2013: The only reason President Obama wants to attack Syria is to save face over his very dumb RED LINE statement. Do NOT attack Syria, fix U.S.A.
September 5, 2013: AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA - IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!
September 7, 2013: President Obama, do not attack Syria. There is no upside and tremendous downside. Save your "powder" for another (and more important) day!
September 9, 2013: Don't attack Syria - an attack that will bring nothing but trouble for the U.S. Focus on making our country strong and great again!
Trump is supposed to be so much better than Obama. I mean, Trump's about three hairs and a mustache away from walking on water.
So, the question remains: what is His Orangeness going to do? NOTHING.
Some questions for you:
#1 Why is it our responsibility to go into Syria and create another power vacuum like Libya and Iraq?
#2 Obama literally armed ISIS and many moderate rebels that we trained are literally with ISIS now. If we depose Assad, then we are 100% responsible for taking on ISIS in Syria so that ISIS doesn't fill in the total power vacuum - no?
#3 If we remove Assad, we also provoke nuclear Russia who is already there with a large military force to keep their warm-water port in Syria. Or no?
#4 Why shouldn't closer France, the UK, Germany, - or the UN...etc...be putting together a task force?
#5 Do you think that we should be the world police? World nation builders? Where do you draw the line?
#6 Aren't there other dictators around the world that we should also be taking out given they also kill civilians?
#7 Did you show such petulance towards Obama's red line that was crossed and then he lied about never making?
Your strawman question assumes I am ok with Assad killing civilians with bombs, but I never said I was.
You know that is not what I'm saying.
