Wonder if it was actually ISIS with the chemical weapons? What a win it would be if that scraggly group could make Assad a pariah and potentially set up the US and Russia for serious conflict.

Probably a false flag operation by the US.

As I've said many a time, it's crucial that the US gain control of Syria (and Yemen), before the US initiates military action against Iran.

Watch what happens.

Shaking my head, as well. This isn't the first time Assad has done this to his people. And it isn't that information on those attacks wasn't available here - they were covered in the press.

That said, thank god he has finally found whatever shred of empathy he has. If it was right to get involved in WWII to defend the Jews, and I do believe it absolutely was, it is also right to find a way to help the poor Syrians.

Assad does not benefit from this. Rebels benefit politically. (if you can call them that).

"When you kill innocent children, innocent babies, babies, little babies, with a chemical gas that is so lethal, people were shocked to hear what gas it was," Trump said. "That crosses many, many lines. Beyond a red line."

Trump later said that he is a "flexible person" and is capable of changing his opinions on issues.

"That attack on children yesterday had a big impact on me. Big impact," Trump said. "That was a horrible, horrible thing. And I've been watching it and seeing it and it doesn't get any worse than that."

At least it's good to see he has some empathy when children are gassed to death.
Obama had no empathy fo rthe beheaded, crucified and gassed humans.

Trump will not telegraph his punches, like an unqualified community organizer did.

'Hey isis drivers, we are going to bomb tonight so you better tell your isisi handler you have a headache and can't drive tonight'.

Liberals who deal in extremes will of course think trump is going to invade syria. Obama made any invasion or defense impossible by depleting the ready condition of our troops and equipment.

You can not defeat an idea. How did that go for us in North Korea? Vietnam? Iraq? Libya? Afghanistan?

Default Donald Trump says Syria chemical attack has changed his view of Assad

I give him credit for changing his mind, the question is where do we go from here. Lacking from his statement was any criticism of Russia.

"I will tell you that attack on children yesterday had a big impact on me – big impact,” Trump said in the White House Rose Garden. “My attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed very much … You’re now talking about a whole different level.”

Yes I heard Haley specifically mentioned russia but trump did not.

For now it's all just words; we'll see if any action is taken.

Did anyone point out to him that he is now criticizing obama for not taking action in 2013 even though at the time he tweeted begging him not to?

The guy has been talking about backing Assad or leaving him alone for months (whatever Vlad wants).

Oh, yeah, now he thinks Assad is a bad guy. And he sounded like a big fat phony. I don't think he's changed his mind, because I don't thing he even gave it a thought before.

I think Ivanka wrote it for him, as he has no idea how to feel bad for anyone, including children. Ivanka told him he should feel bad. These are the people he has railed against, the people he has been banning--the people he refuses to help--the muslim refugees.

Then that hypocrite has the absolute incredible idiotic nerve to blame this on Obama and leave out Putin who has propped Assad up and bombed children for him for months. This is beyond disgusting.
