Oh, OK, so Trump is OK with bombing the crap out of a village and killing "children of God"and "beautiful babies" as long as they don't die from chemicals. Got it.

Guess you don't watch the news. I know. I know. It's fake right?

I think beheading, burning alive, marching to ones death, various forms of insidious torture as well as forcing/conscripting women/girls to be sex slaves among other savagery certainly fills the definition of "barbaric" fully.
No, by their lights, IJ wasn't barbaric. By most Western Civ. standards, of course they behaved truly badly (but look @ the Spanish Civil War, the various Vietnamese Wars, the British little wars, the various US incursions into the Caribbean & Latin America, etc.) IJ never expected to have to deal with lots of POWs - as they did in the Philippines & Singapore - they expected Allied forces to fight to the death, as they expected of their troops. & only expected to have to deal with a handful of prisoners.

Also, IJ was very hard on their own troops & officers. They trained hard, & lost lots of officers & pilots & etc. along the way. They wound up with a very competent & skilled set of soldiers & sailors @ the outset. But they couldn't replicate that level of training, & they lost lots of people along the way who were irreplaceable. IJ military didn't extend even the minimal level of support/food/medical to POWs that they did to their own. & enemy civilians were singled out for even more brutality, when possible.

Their treatment of POWs, non-combatant civilians, & the natives of the countries they overran pretty much guaranteed that the US would burn the home islands down, if it came to that. Unfortunately for IJ, we did develop nuclear weapons just in time for the curtain call. & so no one in the command structure seriously argued against using nukes.

Think of it as a unmanned aircraft without a remote human pilot like drones have and not a ballistic missile flying in an arc to the target as fast as possible. The crew on the destroyer housing the missile in this case programs in the time on target. Then launches the missiles as efficiently as possible and the missiles orbit or fly a deceptive course somewhere away from enemy surveillance and radars as much as possible before making their runs to the target to strike at the programmed time. Just like strike squadrons with human pilots have always done.

ADMIRAL: Mr. President, were about to launch the Tomahawks.

TRUMP: Shouldn't we launch missiles?

The real Trump supporters are against all of these things.
