Stop and think about this. While a few people here have an issue with what Trump did, what he did is the ONLY thing he has received BIPARTISAN support for in DC. Not unanimous, but clearly MAJORITY bipartisan support. Think about it....especially with how divided this country has been the last couple of decades.

The delivery of the message with regards to congressional approval, 100% assurance who used the chemical weapons, etc, can be questioned, but the message still needed to be sent. There were a few deaths (collateral damage) with the U.S. strike on the airstrip, but nothing like what the recent chemical attack death toll was.

I don't care what Trump said during campaigning - all politicians say things to get elected, ALL. A move was made, now let's see where this all goes.
A country that will blow up a hospital does not have the moral authority to tell others anything.

Yes, it's sad that the only thing that will bring people together is war. Helping sick people here? No. Protecting the rights of people here? No. War? Rah, rah, kill em all.

Why is you are arguing there was no evidence of WMDs in Syria when before you said there was?

Japanese cultists live in a country that's not been bombed back into the stone age. They have access to stores, internet, technical people, books etc.
Not a good comparison.
He said there was evidence when he thought Trump wasn't going to take action.

Now he says there isn't after Trump did what he faulted Trump for not doing.

He's got no argument.

This is the whip count for attacking Syria in 2013 when President Obama wanted to do it.

Senate
For: 23 (16 Democrats, 7 Republicans)
Undecided: 34 (25 Democrats, 8 Republicans, 1 Independent)
Leaning No: 8 (3 Democrats, 4 Republicans, 1 Independent)
Against: 35 (8 Democrats, 17 Republicans)

House

Yes: 25 (17 Democrats, 8 Republicans)
Undecided: 145 (111 Democrats, 34 Republicans)
Leaning No: 101 (38 Democrats, 63 Republicans)
Against: 162 (34 Democrats, 91 Republicans)

if he has majority support, then he has flipped a lot of votes or no apparent reason other than being a Republican. That is not good.

The world doesn't care who the president is. All they care about is that the United States blew up a hospital full of innocent individuals.

As an aside, how many innocents did Trump ordered killed in Yemen? That's all people know. Hypocrisy from us.

Easy answer.
  • Obama - weak lazy president - Went to congress so that he could hide behind the vote for doing nothing.
  • Trump - strong hard working president - Took decisive action that stopped the chemical weapons from being used.
People don't respect the former. They have huge respect for the latter.
