Maggie Haberman, the NYT reporter whom trump called after the HC bill didn't come down to a vote, says despite his reputation trump doesn't like to fire people. He would have someone else do it for him.
Trump realized he was fixing to lose his entire base because of his son-in-law. He told that guy to shape up or he would be fired.
Well..not his entire base. There are a lot of people who support Trump who are not Alt/Right--further..there are a lot of people who would like to support Trump...if he would just kick the tin-foil hat crowd loose.
So, he might well gain more than he would lose.
