Obama didn't have any trouble winning easily with the "deplorables" voting.

Nothing like effing people over to the point that they stop voting for you and then you call them every name in the book and blame them for it all.

Not many supported Bernie either. He only got support in a few states.

I am referring to the kind of candidacies they were. McCain didn't have near the baggage that Hillary did, but he was pushed as the "next in line" candidate after Bush and never generated much excitement.

Did you know that less voter voted in 2016 tan in 2012 and 2008? somehow the defeat of Clintan was that the democratic electors didn't feel encouraged to go out and vote for her so the Basket of Deplorables emerged as the hard vote of 'Murica and defeated Hillary.

Well, if I remember my history from 2008 Hillary supporters were racists. Then now in 2016, Sanders was both a racist and mysoginist.

Labeling and name calling is part and parcel of the political landscape, Trump is just a less polished liar and politician but the message is the same.

That's it. Reverse Misogynism did NOT work for her and she's pissed because reverse racism did work for Obama.

A few Republicans were conned into voting for Obama but on Hillary Rodham Clinton, they said Naw, I'm good, thanks anyway.

I saw a bumper sticker on a vehicle in Colorado Springs last Monday.

It said Trump That Bish.

That was a misogynistic bumper sticker I think.

There are several good articles out there on the many Obama voters that voted for Trump. *shrug* It seems you've found a comfortable answer though one that may not be quite accurate.
