Of course, he would because nothing speaks more proudly as a pro-life governor than to pollute our waterways with toxins that will induce abortions and birth defects.
But of course, Repubs are the party of rampant pollution so it makes perfect sense that Walker and Trump would push for this.

Big Government.
Everyone seems to be against Big Government.
So let the "rules" and environment regulations go away - so profits can be paid to the executives and stock holders.
We don't want no stinkin' government regulations that slow or harm industry. Do we?
Yes, the environmental protection law changes have been in the news here in Wisconsin. People are not happy. We are sitting on one of the largest freshwater reserves in the world. We have to be responsible with it.
I just saw today that Ryan and Walker have started an ad campaign trying to get the people of Wisconsin to support their decision to push this deal. I suspect they are getting a lot of angry calls from constituents.
Foxconn can't ignore EPA laws, only state environmental protection laws. I would be surprised if EPA laws and regulations don't cover state owned land, such as the wetlands they are discussing. Doesn't federal law supersede state law? My father owns a company that is regulated by the EPA and the fact that the land is not federal land has no impact.
What really caught my eye was the $2 billion in government incentives? What's the details behind that?

Our state regulations were more stringent than federal regulations.
The $3Billion is a travesty to my mind. It appears they've promised $200Million a year to FoxConn in cash to move here, the remainder of that $3B will be made up of tax incentives. That's for a promise of 3,000 jobs with the supposed potential for 13,000 jobs in the future from a company that has a history of breaking such promises once it moves in. Also, average salary, they claim, will be $53K total compensation (less take home). The citizens of Wisconsin will be footing the bill for all of Foxconn's Wisconsin employees and then some.
Anyone here from Wisconsin?? How is this playing there?
