I cant stand Trump but wasnt it Obama who drew red line in the sand on using chemical weapons and then allowed the Syrian gov (presumably) to cross it with little or no consequences a few years ago?

I voted mixed.
  • We should have never gotten involved in Syria. But that is what Obama & the Democrats did.
  • Now that we are there, Trump will need to take steps to deal with the mess they left.

I agreed with it. But thus far I'm pretty impressed with Trump's presidency up to this point.

This missile launch is a double win for the Trump WH--for one it puts the US in the moral right of the equation, it'll unify the US with the global community as the leader in any necessary regime change in the future...second it shows the Kremlin that this is NOT the same administration as before--Trump is unpredictable in their eyes, they are scrambling to figure this one out after 8 years of walking all over Obama.

So what? Do you use that as an excuse in your own life to do wrong? If a criminal robs a convenience store, do you also rob a convenience store, claiming it's OK because Mr. Armed Robber did it? Of course not. So stop with the "But Obama and the Democrats did it too!" excuse. Trump is president now and he's old enough to be in the old folks' home, thus his actions are fully his own.

Seems to me it was just a feel-good knee jerk reaction. As far as I can tell, Trump has no long term plan. Timing was excellent for him too, this will serve to distract from the Russian ties investigation.

The best thing that happened this week was the removal of Bannon. No way McMaster was going to let that whacko stay on the security council.

My only problem with the attack was the target. One (or more) of the bombs (missiles) should have been targeted on the last known location of Assad!
Yeah, that's right, a la Tom Clancy, put one (or more) right in his bedroom window (the Ryan Doctrine)!

Obama promised to stop the "Bush Wars", but he didn't.
So, eight years later, he left them for trump to deal with. Trump dealt.
