This is yet another NOT red/blue issue. it is something we all need to push for.

Maybe we need some sort of forum where things that the left and right agree on could be discussed along with how to pressure government to fix them.
I agree with this too.

Colleges and universities have gotten too big for their own britches. They just want to protect their own and by that I mean their own brand and their own finances.

But no one killed this student.
Normal, balanced people don't kill themselves every time life throws them a curveball.
Being falsely accused of sexual misconduct isn't a curveball. That's a life changing event. I can't imagine how terrified this young man must have felt knowing his whole future could be flushed down the drain over something he did not do.

Title IX was created in 1972.

It was in 2011 that the policy shifted on this particular issue. Google the "Dear Colleague Letter" someone mentioned earlier. This is an Obama legacy.

Even worse, not having the opportunity to defend himself.

It's not a Title IX issue since they didn't actually follow Title IX procedure. If they had, he would have gotten a hearing and not been removed from the classroom.

Typically the student is notified about the accusation and a no contact order (and a gag order) is issued until a hearing can take place. If the students share a class one of them may be removed to a different section, but it's usually the accuser.

Title IX coordinators typically have law degrees so policies are sure to be in compliance with the law.
